We have stayed at this hotel many of times, and honestly it’s usually our go-to hotel because it had an indoor pool, great parking, awesome staff, and a great breakfast every morning, however they are currently remodeling and I wasn’t aware of this and they are supposedly getting rid of their pool which is so sad and my kids are now super bummed. We might have to adjust where we stay because the pool was a huge reason we always booked here and now if it’s gone that’s just a bummer.

The construction going on in the mornings made for a very loud room. But the room was great and super comfy pillows. Breakfast was good with lots of options to pick from. Got to see Mt. Ranier from our window! Overall happy with our stay

We loved our stay at this Holiday Inn Express. The staff were very kind, courteous and helpful! The place is really clean and safe. The Incline Cidery across the street was convenient and had a great selection of ciders and good eats. We were there for a show at the Tacoma Dome which was only 5 minutes away. Good job.......we'll be back!

Upon check-in staff was polite. Though the lobby appears clean, you can see that it does need more frequent cleanings. Overall the double bed accessible room was clean (stained curtains). That is where the niceness ends. The room is a danger to anyone and everyone. The bathtub, whether dry or wet, soap-covered or not, has nothing to help prevent a person from slipping and falling. There are handrails, but they do nothing to prevent a person from slipping, even if standing up from the seat installed. The office chair at the desk is even more dangerous. The chair rolls like a marble on glass, there is no stopping it. The surface of the chair is extremely slick, so regardless of the clothing you're wearing, or even naked, you can slip off. Because of the wheels on the chair, it can slip out from under you when trying to sit, which is exactly what happened to me. When sitting down, the chair wheeled away allowing me to fall to the floor, hitting my tailbone on the floor and my left arm on the desk. My left arm was bruised immediately. Upon checkout, staff refused to provide a receipt or anything proving they would be refunding an incidental deposit they required in addition to already being paid for the stay. To this date, management doesn't want to contact me, and I continue to call this hotel thieves for failure to provide evidence that they were refunding the deposit, and that they have a lot of safety to improve upon. I'll gladly assist them with a thorough review.

On their website it read indoor pool. My grandkids were very excited but when we checked in I was told the pool was closed and it has been closed for quite awhile. If I knew before I would have stayed somewhere where else. This is clearly false advertising. Secondly, the beds were extremely uncomfortable. You actually sunk in them. I am 76 and have arthritis so my sleep was off and on and woke up with soreness and back pain. We, all also had to have our key cards rekeyed. The night clerk said, it could demagnetize, I know she missed keyed them. She didn’t even say she was sorry. The room was clean. Shower had good pressure. The breakfasts were very good. I believe I should be compensated for the false advertisement.

the lobby was very nice, the rooms were very clean and comfy. we stayed for 1 night and then got another room the next night. it was all wonderful until i looked at my bank statement. there was $205 in extra charges. they say i have to call the agency to discuss it but the charges are from them and not from the agency.

Staff was great. No recycle bins yet they claim "green" for having a way to request no house cleaning. No guide channel on the TV. Several restaurants in area. Good breakfast options.

We planned a surprise staycation for our son’s 10th birthday. He loves a hotel pool! Unfortunately, the hotel is under going renovations and the pool is permanently closed. That was not indicated on Expedia or the hotel website. We were very disappointed and just turned around and went home.

We used this location for it proximity to the Dome. We saw Tool there and it was awesome. Hotel is great and clean. Many walkable restaurants and pubs.

I was happy to find a comfortable and well appointed place so close to st Joseph hospital for an otherwise unpleasant trip to Tacoma. Thanks for being a refuge.

They do not take prepaid debit cards, that was a huge hassle for me. Therefore I had to book through here to pay for the room in advance. I didn't bring any credit cards with me as well, I got it figured out after 30minutes later, they gal eventually took my prepaid debit card just this one time for incidentals. Make sure you know their policies before you book.

Convenient to downtown Tacoma but the hotel (including staff) was "average". It's undergoing renovation and I believe it will switch ownership to a different brand in 2024.

Pros: Clean, nice breakfast selection, even though there was expired milk cartons in the breakfast refrigerator by 3 days! Walk in shower was nice. Cons: Construction noise; drilling, hammering, down to 1 elevator working. (They are changing to be a Hilton). Wish we knew ahead of time! No post until we checked in. Could not take a nap yesterday due to drilling, etc. No microwave in room. You have to go down to the lobby and use the microwave. Very inconvenient! The smell of Marijuana wafting thru our hallway and also outside lobby. Also, I wished there was more attentiveness in breakfast area. A couple children came in barefoot and the boy, about 7 y.o., was touching all the food, utensils, etc., and coughing and sneezing over the food. Parent was not doing anything to reprimand. Glad we had gotten our food already. I think they should give a discount for the construction noise alone. I won't stay there again. We have always had good luck with the Holiday Inn Expresses, but definitely not this time.

Upon checking into our room the smell of marijuana hit us like a brick wall. We asked three separate times just for someone to bring us Febreze or air freshener after explaining the situation, just to be met with apathy and disdain. We ended up needing to sleep with the window open while it was below freezing outside. Fortunately the amount of noise was the same whether the windows were opened or closed, very loud. The staff could not have cared less, or made it more obvious how apathetic they felt.

Hotel itself wasn’t too terrible. My room was a bit dated for $235 a night. The bfast was good. We stayed For a concert at the dome and the walk home was not desirable. Homeless drug addicts everywhere. I didn’t feel safe. It’s not the hotel’s fault. I’m posting for other concert goers info.

We were just looking for a place near Point Defiance and Sea Tac and this was conveniently located. Room was clean, check in was fast. Keep in mind there is a daily parking fee if you choose to park in the lot. Breakfast was great. And check out is at noon which was great for us.

Hotels was perfect for us. No issues with anything. Love the business around the hotel that were walking distance. I would defrost at here again.
