Amazing and far exceeded our expectations. I work at a 4 star resort and wish we had those wonderful front reception ladies working with us. They were so genuine, kind and helpful. Every morning and evening they would greet us with a smile, offer to make our coffee, and assist with planning my itinerary for the day. They even helped me with my limited Spanish. They epitomized Basque culture and made us feel like family. Our room was spacious, clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was nice, The hotel is in a perfect, quaint location near everything. The cleaning staff were also extremely attentive and thorough. My wife had reservations elsewhere in San Sebastián a month after our stay. However, after our positive experience at Pension Kursaal, we won’t stay anywhere else. We booked it right there at the desk. It was my first time in Spain visiting my daughter and I can’t thank you all enough for helping make my experience so memorable. See you next time.

This hotel was excellent, just five minutes walk over the bridge and you are in the old town, cross the road from the hotel and there is the underground car park of the Kursaal. It couldn’t be better situated if you are coming by car as it’s just outside the restricted zone and the hotel gives a good rate on the parking - €22 instead of €31.
The hotel doesn’t offer any meals but there are plenty of places in the immediate vicinity for breakfast/dinner etc.
It would have been nice having tea making facilities in the room because as an old English couple we need a cup of tea in the morning to get us going! There is a kettle and tea bags at reception, but no milk, and you have to get out of bed!!
