Easy location for CPSLO and downtown. The staff was helpful and friendly and the amenities were on point. Nice and quiet as well.

Great location. Really good breakfast options. Don’t water down your juices so much though. Room was comfortable, nice mattress. Our patio door wouldn’t open though! Lock just spun and didn’t engage. Not much lighting in the room. Front desk folks very nice. Plenty of easy parking. Decent gym it’s good hours. Would return and appreciate that you would welcome our dog!

Wonderful location! Just a mile from CalPoly SLO. Restaurant next door is amazing. Safe and ample parking in covered underground parking structure. Modern and well maintained. Complimentary breakfast is delicious and nice dining area. Check in staff was very fast and friendly. Service staff was also very friendly. Checkout staff could have been more congenial, but pleasant enough (but didn’t even ask me how my stay was or wish me well or “hope to see you again” type salutations. Odd. Overall I will stay here when in the SLO area.

Check-in was a bit difficult. The first room was for a disabled person, the second room was already occupied, even though the key let us in, and the third room was adjoining, so there was very little soundproofing between the rooms.

Hotel was nice. The shower had very low water pressure making it impossible to wash long hair. The breakfast was good and the gym was nice. Hotel is about 1 mile from downtown SLO and very walkable. The pool was heated nicely however it is very small. Total pool occupancy was 12. Overall, a good stay.

Unfortunately we did not have a comfortable stay here. The windows do not open in the rooms therefore you are basically forced to use the ac which was so loud that I couldn’t sleep, absolutely no fresh air. No water pressure in the shower. The “pool” that we thought we might use was only 2 feet deep. Not really a pool. I will not be booking this hotel again.

Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. One thing that was odd-when we came back to our room from being out all day it appeared someone had been in the room from housekeeping because the hand soap and a tissue box was gone from the bathroom, but the room was not cleaned at all. Very strange. We also went to the hot tub at the jets did not work and it was lukewarm , very disappointing. Also you can hear everything through the walls. I normally expect that a little at hotels but this was really bad.

The hotel is nice and brand new. Check-in was overstimulating. There was a lot going on; lots of loud kids, not a parent in sight and I cod barely here the guy at the front desk. Rooms ar clean but the rooms have no carpet, so cold floors, and bathroom amenities were cheap.

Very disrespectful / dishonest front desk staff at check in, the man checking us in was ok but I was told they only had one room of my kind left so I had no choice but to take it. Upon going up to see the room, the bathroom door handle was broken, balcony door didn’t lock and was falling off the frame and there were giant holes in the bedsheets on both beds. This is where the lie came out. The maintenance guy told me they had a lot of other rooms of my kind available. They tried moving me to one across the hall that was dated and dirty upon entering, only had a small standing balcony (no room for chairs or table), I called right back down and asked for my original room back. Wake up calls did not work 2 out of the 3 nights which was disappointing. Breakfast was also extremely disappointing - pancakes, waffles, toast, bacon and juice were all I enjoyed. The eggs were watery and repulsive and the sausage was slimy. A special thank you to Raphael at the front desk and the head house keeper who allowed me to check out at 2pm so I had a safe place to stay while awaiting my Amtrak train! As a young girl traveling alone, this meant a lot to me!

The bed was amazing. The TV didn’t work well. Breakfast in the morning was extended longer then most hotels. Heater worked great. Felt safe and as a solo travel thst was important.

Clean, friendly staff, roomy bedroom/living room. Small, cramped bathroom as far as the sink. Little room for accessories. Kind of annoying the way the "eco-friendly" lights kept going on and off when you accessed the bathroom.

A one night stay for a show at The Fremont. Worked out great. Cool restaurant right next door. Walking distance to The Fremont. Room was very nice.

Nice modern property within walking distance of downtown SLO. Clean and simple. Things to improve. Didn’t like the bedding. Heavy duvet (I like duvets), was too warm. I had to put the A/C on and guess a comfortable temperature. Woke up in a soaking sweat. Turned the A/C down more and then too cold. It’s California, you don’t need a N Dakota duvet! Lighting was ‘atmospheric’, otherwise known as dark, with no option to see what I was doing.

I went to Cal Poly and studied hotel management- I can genuinely say this hotel is one of the best deals I’ve seen. The rooms are clean/ updated amenities, the staff is SO nice, easy parking, pool/ jacuzzi is incredible, gym is solid, and you get free breakfast. Don’t sleep on it, book it!

Our room was great, and the staff that checked us in were awesome! The “family” on the floor above us, though, sounded like they had a few young kids, and their parents let them run back and forth across the room above, or they’d cannon-ball off the bed. These were definitely inconsiderate kids running around, and they shook the room like a herd of elephants, so sleeping in after our New Years Eve outing was not an option. That’s the only negative! Maybe just put families on the lowest floor.

The property is excellent! I love that you have to have a room key to use the elevator. The breakfast was pretty nice. I didnt get to check outthe gym and pool, but I plan to visit again so that I can enjoy all of the facilities.

Had a great stay! Property was clean, room was updated and bed was super comfortable! Would recommend earplugs or headphones for light sleepers. The rooms don’t have much soundproofing— could hear loud tv, dogs barking, and stompers from the next room or upstairs. Breakfast was great!

The property was in a good location close to town. Staff was friendly and helpful and our room was clean and nice. Our only complaint was the noise. Guests upstairs were very noisy and we could hear them walking around most of the night.

A 2 night stay for Christmas to visit our son's in-laws and brought the dog. We had read a lower star award for this hotel but we had nothing but an excellent stay, even with the dog. They put us in the farthest wing (completely understandable) with our pup, we even heard some doggie whining in some of the rooms when we walked by but never while in our room. Everything was clean and in perfect condition (cracked mirror in the bathroom but not an issue). It satisfied everything we needed.

Very nice hotel, was nothing i expected it to be . Its was better. Its a short walking distance to downtown. If i ever visit San Luis obispo i will be staying at la quinta.
