First off, if you're tourists like us with limited time to look around, this hotel's location is EXCELLENT for quickly getting to the key areas - Times Square is less than 10 mins walk away, and the Port Authority Bus Terminal (which is a big junction for the subway) is even closer. This is reflected in the price per night, but you have to weigh it up against cheaper options outside Manhattan where you'd waste time getting the subway into the centre (which is not particularly safe for then getting back later after dark). The room was clean and comfortable with a large bed, with a modern shower. Bottled water in the room is only complimentary for business customers, so watch out to avoid being charged. There was a safe for valuables. The down-sides are the hotel was rather crowded - lots of people in the small reception throughout the day, queues for breakfast and the lifts (even though there were 4). Breakfast was a bit basic and very much 'prepared for the masses' - just scrambled eggs and sausage/bacon with a few bread options and a bit of fruit, all in disposable plates/cups. They have luggage storage facilities and the option to ask for a shuttle to JFK for $75 (which was cheaper than $110 for an Uber) - these were useful on our last day as our flight was in the evening so didn't have to lug our suitcases around after checkout. Overall it was 'sufficient' but not 'relaxed with space'. If I could give half-stars it'd be 3.5 out of 5.

Room is small, I’m told this is normal for New York, but was a surprise to us. Was Are 1st time going there, There’s was no place to unpack, no dresser, no drawers. We put are suitcase on top of the only chair, so there was no place to sit. We packed up all are stuff every day so the maid could clean, Two of the three days we were there room service didn’t come. There was a very small closet, and mini fridge, The walkway in front of the bed and the side of the bed was super tight. The only way to use the tv is to use the chomecast and connect it to your phone, it didn’t work seamlessly for me. Ended up not using the TV because of it. A/c didn’t work properly, was pretty noisy, didn’t cool the room down. Bathroom was very small very little countertop space. The towel storage was inside the shower. The shower had this metal cover that went over the drain, which made this loud tin noise when water dripped on it. The shower valve was super sensitive either too hot or too cold. There was two bottles of water in our room no sign saying that we would be charged If we use the water later we found out they charge six dollars for each water. They did take that charge off. The elevators were small and were always full of people almost every time we had to wait for the next one. The good: people were nice. Good location close to all the good spots. The bed was comfortable. Free Breakfast was good saved us money. We filled are water bottles at the machine at breakfast.

We are very happy with our stay at Hyatt Place New York City / Times Square. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Their complimentary breakfast was the best we have seen at a hotel, lots of food, and lots of options. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. The location of the hotel was perfect. It was on a quiet street and just a short walk to Times Square. If we ever come back to NYC we will definitely be staying here again.

My family and I had a great 4 night stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful from the minute we arrived to when we checked out. We had two rooms and i had requested when booking if we could have them on the same floor as we had 3 teenagers which the staff arranged rooms that we side by side which was fantastic the rooms were cleaned every day to a very high standard when we were out and about the city. the breakfast was busy and the food was plentiful with hot options , fruit , pancakes on some days cereal and juices , tea of coffee available too. the bar was comfortable and grand for a few drinks. The rooms were ere plenty big for 2 people and the boys had a double and big sofa bed , a little tight but perfect for the what they wanted - a bed, TV , bathroom and shower. The location was excellent - 10mins walk to Times Square in a safe area , 5 mins walk to subway station , 15 mins walk to the Intrepid ship, 10 mins to Madison Square Garden basically you could walk to any where you needed to go in the city. In summary a great place , family friendly , clean , safe and lovely staff to help you if needed. We loved it there and would go back again 👍

The Hotel is well situated near times square. The staff are friendly and helpful. I had a room with not blockout blind which was missing. Each day i asked for it to be replaced. Each day I was assured it would be, I had 4 nights there and nothing got done,

Amazing central location stay. Fantastic for getting to all the main attractions! 5 minute walk from Times Square and the subway! Rooms and service is brilliant! WiFi is great, elevators are very busy in the morning is the only downside. The bar is great and has a great happy hour!

When I checked in the reservation could not be found. Eventually they could find it, but said it was on the extranet, not their internal system. Front desk was accommodating, but hoping I don't get double billed.

Excellent location for proximity to sites. Rooms are spacious for NYC and very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay, but very crowded, long lines. Getting up and down elevators in mornings was challenging. Elevators are relatively small and cannot adequately support the number of guests at busy times.

Rooms ok for 2 people. They are too small. Bathrooms are too small. I don't recommend it for families. Breakfast is decent and front desk is friendly.

I love that it's breakfast included with your stay. The function of the elevators are super fast as well, so you can tell it's a modern up to date hotel. The breakfast was always good. The front desk receptionist, Jennifer was very accommodating when I booked my ride. My room was also cute. It's a busy hotel as well, you have to wait for the elevators because they are always being used. I would definitely stay again!!

It is close to many theaters, subway stations, places to eat . Is a convenient hotel in time square without all the noise of that icon place in NYC

I really loved staying at Hyatt place. The staff were very friendly and their space is very clean which is very important to me. The shower was hot and I loved how you could walk to Times Square and broadway.

Good location to Times Square but not in all the chaos of Times Square. Room was small but accessible for a couple.

I stayed here for my boyfriends birthday and our anniversary, they set up balloons and some treats for us in our room, and upgraded us, also gave us early check in and late check out, Jennifer (staff member) was especially helpful and nice, she made our stay that much better. I would definitely stay here again, the only con I could share was that rooms are not soundproof so you can hear neighbors but we didn’t get noisy ones, and breakfast is average but solid. Overall my stay was very good.

The rooms are tiny but it is in a good location, walkable to Times Square, clean and staff are friendly.

Check in helpful by giving us the earliest room available. Buffet was awesome! Amenities in room OK. Only thing I was really disappointed was that there was no enough space for even ONE luggage. Closet was good only for one person for a room booked for 5 people. It was messy for us having our stuff and luggage on the bed/floor.

Hotel charged me $100.43 more I called hotel many times and waited more than 2 hours nobody couldn’t tell why this is charged. Still they didn’t solve my problem. I’ll be never at a Hyatt group again. Customer relationship is terrible.

Location was great, I enjoyed being so close to many things yet still in an area that isn’t too busy. Walking to Times Square was short. However, the check in process was not good, they told us to wait and they would text us. After 3:10pm, I didn’t receive a text and had to stand in line again to get a room. I recommend to stay at a lower floor since the elevator could be a wait.

Near by Times Square, very nice and safe, breakfast was very good, everything was very clean.

The breakfast hours are so crowded and not too many selections. Nice hot breakfast in winter is always a plus. No compliment water bottle and there's a charge if you are not a member. Room in general very small but that's New York City. So its understandable. Sofa bed is not very uncomfortable, luckily it's only 2 nights. Elevator is fast but can be crowded in peak hours. Convenient location close to Times square but room is too small, I would not stay next time.
