*Finally got round to doing this.* We loved the location and we appreciated the affordable prices. The beds were comfy, too. And now on to some good-natured criticism. I need to start in the 'What did you like' section because there isn't enough space for my scribblings in the 'What didn't you like' section. We're rating the hotel 7/10 (good) because we're amiable tourists who can appreciate other people's hard work. We'd have to rate it lower if we were grumpy malcontents who always feel entitled. All right, here goes. Our room was unavailable upon our arrival (around 10pm). Regardless of the cause, this is unacceptable in modern times. The staff were really polite and made efforts to make amends. We were placed in two separate kings instead of our initially booked 2x queens room and we were promised that our original room would be ready by 10am the next morning. Well, it wasn't. We couldn't afford to wait any longer and so it was agreed with the morning shift receptionist that we would keep the two kings for the remainder of our visit, which wasn't perfect for us but acceptable. It was later confirmed by an afternoon shift member of staff, who also issued another key card for us (one of those we had originally been given didn't work).
However, on the third day of our stay we were notified that we would have to vacate the rooms by 3pm and move to our originally booked room. Sadly, this was communicated via email, which we failed to read until around 3pm. We were exploring Lower Manhattan at that time and despite it being a serious inconvenience, we immediately made our way back to the hotel and got there a few minutes before 4pm to find that all our belongings had been moved to the originally booked room without our consent. We didn't initially think much of it but after some reflection we thought such practices were not only extremely uncommon but, most importantly, absolutely intolerable. We understand that housekeeping staff do need to, to a limited extent, interact with guests' belongings. However, I believe that you will agree that packing personal belongings into guests’ suitcases, collecting and handling toiletries as well as underwear and laundry is a serious breach of the guests' privacy. Luckily, thanks to the hotel's cleaning staff's integrity, nothing went missing but let me mention that, although indirectly, a certain amount of cash + other valuables were also handled by the hotel's staff. The inefficient elevators, the limited breakfast consumption area (the need to wait for tables to be freed, which also weren't cleared or cleaned often enough) and the spluttering air-conditioner all caused further discomfort. Unfortunately, the above-mentioned circumstances rendered our stay dissatisfactory. Please excuse the assertive criticism.

Great location. People were very customer-oriented, especially Cesar in the breakfast area!
Elevator was flaky and caused a lot of problems and delays getting up and down to and from the 31st floor.

Clean room and comfortable.
There only are 2 elevadors, sometimes you have to do a line and wait long time

Proximity to Times Square and subway was good. But definitely not the nicest street. Breakfast was decent. Rooms were ok. Stains on curtains and floors. Phone didn’t work. Safe didn’t work.
Elevator is extremely slow. Floor in elevator needs to be redone. Replace carpet in rooms with hard floor. Carpet was dirty. Stains on curtains and pillows.
