We loved this hotel. Very clean. The buffet breakfast was the best out of all the hotels we stayed at during our Japan trip. The espresso/tea machine in lobby was great too. The room was small as expected but still comfortable. The bathroom was nice. Great toiletries/body wash and bathrobes. Good shower head. Hotel is on a very quiet street near a metro station and near a Family Mart and 7 Eleven.

The amenities, rooms and location were all amazing. The staff were very helpful when I arrived 30 minutes before my check-in time and they were happy to give me an early check-in which me and my partner greatly appreciated.
The only complaint that I have is that the air conditioning smells weirdly metallic in the room.

Good location (close to the main shopping street and Nishiki Market).
We walked to: Pontocho, Gion geisha district, Kiyomizu-dera temple...). The metro/train station for Arashiyama bamboo forest and Fushimi Inari Shrine (torii gate) is nearby.
The combined breakfast (Eastern + Western) was very good. The room was small, but enough.
