The property was beautiful, with historical shared lobby and public bathing pools operating 3pm-11am.
The breakfast was excellent, my dad said the Japanese breakfast was his favorite meal in Japan. Even the apple juice and soup were delicious and delicate.
There's nothing I could complain about this property. It's not the most central location near the train station nor the historical Kyoto area, but it's still just 2-5 stops ride away from most touristy spots we needed to get to. I think it was worth it considering the cost effectiveness because I've stayed at similar properties in Gion and it was almost triple the cost.

Perfectly located and very tastefully decorated hotel. Great facilities incl spa. If you arrive by car parking can be a bit tricky but that is no surprise given the location in the middle of Kyoto. Many great restaurants and cafes nearby
