This hotel is a good reflection of the city it's in: once grand, now a little rough around the edges but hanging in there. There's a lot to like: the location is unbeatable for a Palermo city stay, the staff were all good, the public areas are beautiful, e.g. the breakfast room, the rooftop bar. The breakfast was excellent.
It's just all a bit dated. Bed and furniture in our room were OK but not great (e.g. a small table had a broken leg and was unusable). Shower temperature was impossbile to control, it just randomly cycled between hot and cold.

The front desk staff were helpful. The breakfast buffet and breakfast room were agreeable. The location is perfect.
The air conditioning was not so good, a bit too warm.
