Great location. Easy access to coast, 17 mile drive, downtown Pacific Grove, and Hwy 68 and 1. We like this location because it’s away from the tourists. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast is also convenient

Hello. Our stay was fantastic. The room was very nice. The bathroom looked like it needed some cosmetic touch ups but all worked well. The shower door had a minor issue stay open. The proximity to the ocean path is a short distance-about a block from the hotel. Pacific Grove downtown area is within a few blocks from the hotel with an amazing array of restaurants. Proximity to the Monterey Bay Aquarium is about a mile. My Husband and I had an amazing weekend stay at this establishment. Thank you.

The cottages are very cute. Overall, the hotel needs to do some maintenance. For example, one of the steps outside our room had so much dry rot I was afraid I’d fall through it. The breakfast looked great. It was a full sit down breakfast. The cottage location we had was very quiet and the room was huge. Overall, it was a great stay.

Good location with a short walk to the shore. Enjoyed the bike rentals. Room was good. Only complaint was the ability to hear the neighbors in the room above.

This is a great location and has many wonderful features for a stay in the Monterrey area. We booked a cottage, and it was great to have the suite-like space. The homemade breakfast was excellent daily, and the heated pool and hot tub were nice. We had great service. Unfortunately, the place showed its age, and we were hoping it would have been more comfortable. Solid dinner options are close by, and we found everywhere we wanted to go that is easily accessible from this location.

We have stayed here many times over the last 10 years. Unfortunately I don’t think they have updated the beds in that time. Both King size bed and sofa bed were horrible. Today they brought in a roll a way for my 7 year old because the pullout sofa was so bad, and the roll a way is not any better. Looks like this will be our last stay here.

First time staying here and we loved the place. We had the cottage with small patio looking out to the street. We sat and enjoyed our coffees. A few cars passed by now and then, but overall, it was quiet and peaceful. (It might had something to do with the rain and early in the morning.). Our room was very nice and clean. The bed was comfy. Everything worked. It’s a short distance walk to the lighthouse and the coast. Various hot breakfast options to choose from. Staffs were friendly. We only stayed for one night, but definitely will be back.

Lex was amazing at the front desk/breakfast. The breakfast was Phenomenal!!! Had the biscuit and gravy one morning and the scramble the next. Pool was SO warm!!!! Bed was very comfy in the honeymoon sweet… hotel has a couple updates needed but the service, location and comfort are well worth it!

We had a lovely time at the Lighthouse cottages and will definitely return again. The lady serving breakfast was so nice, very attentive and the hot breakfast was delicious! Walking distance to the golf course and walk path over to lovers point.

I stayed on the Cottage side of the property. The grounds and room were very clean. I stayed in a suite with a fireplace, and the furniture and bedding were very comfortable. All the rooms on this side (opposed to the Lodge side) are one story, so no neighbors above or below. We had neighbors on both sides of the room, but we never heard them. The made to order breakfast and continental spread were fabulous, and the service was awesome. The property is walking distance to the beach, golf course, and lighthouse.

The place is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay for the most part, however, there were a few things that could be improved. For instance, when we first arrived, the mini fridge was not plugged in. We had to pull out the mini fridge and plug it in and wait for it to get cold before we could use it. The phone was not plugged in and could not figure out how to get it working. The wifi was a little weak. We were unaware that this property did not have air conditioning and it was very confusing using the thermostat for heat. The TV wasn't so great. However, we did enjoy our stay regardless.

Good location, walking distance to beaches and Monarch Sanctuary. Many restaurants winthin a few minutes drive downtown. Our room is clean, beds are ok, shower is good, TV needs upgrade. $15 per person for cook-to-order breakfast if you stay at the Lodge (free if you stay at Cottage), it worth it. They do provide a free snack bag in the morning with apple juice, apple, a muffin and a granola bar. Front desk lady C.J. is very friendly and helpful. The hot tub is not working due to recent storms, disappointed but cannot complain. Our room is facing the cemetery, some people may not like it, but it's a beautiful green lawn, quiet and peaceful. Overall our stay is good, a reasonably priced hotel in good location.

My husband & I have made it our annual tradition for the last 6yrs to stay here on NYE and dine at Carmel. The next day we spend time at the beach 5min from this hotel. We enjoy just sitting there watching the waves. It’s also a cute place for a summer getaway. The rooms are always cozy, the property is lovely and the staff is always friendly.

We found few spiders in our bed and not that's not good. Breakfast was in fact bag compare to what you expect. Once room got little warmer, you cannot stay AC . You have to open windows/ doors. The property had trees and keeping them open is not an option. Other than that no issues love the room

Our stay was amazing. The hotel is located in a beautiful area. My only issue was that the toilet is too low, and that we couldn't turn down the heater. It was set at 75 degrees, and they discontinued the free breakfast. The amenities were not replenished when we arrived. Had to call the office for stuff.

Stayed here with my husband and toddler. The rooms are large and clean and we had a cute little swing bench outside and could enjoy the view. The continental breakfast could be better. It was just a bag with an apple juice, muffin, apple and granola bar. Still one of the best places to stay. Walking distance to the lighthouse.

Was not aware that it was 2 separate properties so expecting a lodge feel. That being said, the room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was a sack, not made to order, again 2 separate types of rooms. Location backs up to a cemetery that is by the lighthouse. Lovely walk during the day, super spooky and dark at night. Great area and stay overall.
