Wow! Beautiful resort with outstanding service and gorgeous views. Understated luxury with well sized rooms and an excellent on site restaurant. Pool area includes great outdoor seating, corn hole games and fire pits. Service was fantastic - they provided golf cart rides to the top of the hill, on the Main Street, filled with great shops and pick up for Pink Jeeps tour. The signature massage in the spa was exceptional and a must-do when in Sedona. Highly recommend!!

Amazing hotel!!! Since arrival we were treated like royalty. Beautiful hospital grounds; great big and comfortable room overlooking a creek. Extremely polite and attentive staff. We are staying there for a birthday getaway and once we arrived to the room, we were received with Birthday Macaroons. Im definitely planning on staying here again and making it a family trip. Thanks for everything Amara!

Loved our stay at the Amara resort. So close to the downtown and nestled amongst the beauty of the environment too. Beds are so comfortable and rooms are super clean. Would definitely recommend.

Came for a relaxing stay with my wife and enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel staff were very kind and friendly. The restaurant employees were very attentive. Everyone was very accommodating. Great place to stay.

Overall my experience was great! Hotel staff were all very friendly and accomodating. The coffee maker did not brew the correct amount to coffee which meant I had to go down to the lobby each morning for coffee. Other than that everything was great.

Our stay is amazing ! I can’t thank enough how they took cared of us and how wonderful celebrating our anniversary! Makes me sad leaving the resort ! It’s walking distance from centre ! Staffs are amazing ! Helped us book tours . Help us plan our journey . Everything is top notch !

If you stay here and you desire sleep and peace, don’t stay in 202 or any room on that side of the property, you will be next to an elevator, public women’s restroom, utility closet and your balcony will face the parking lot (valet) with people yelling and alarms sounding. Loud noises coming from HVAC all night. For over 500 a night , very disappointing..

We stayed here on our honeymoon and couldn’t have been happier. The level of service from the valet, front desk, housekeeping, bartenders and restaurant were all above expectations. We had a room with a creek facing view lined with beautiful sycamore trees. The cocktails and food were delicious. We plan to stay here again in the future. Thank you for the great stay Amara!

Grateful that we chose Amara for our stay. It’s just off the beaten path enough, while also being so close to the heart of Sedona shopping and dining. Also a tremendously beautiful creek walk behind the property is stunning during the fall. Discovered this gem of Sedona all because of Amara. Will definitely be returning.

They had major construction going on and waited til we arrived to inform us, when asked why they didn’t inform us prior to arriving they said they knew people would cancel their reservations and they’d rather have people show up and be unhappy then reschedule and that construction was very last min and they didn’t have time to notify people, that was a lie because people staying two weeks ago left reviews within the last two days and stated they had the same experience and excuses. The construction forced us to have to walk outside around the whole building and through another building and walk up a flight of stairs to access our room. No elevator was available to get us to our specific room. We were woken up everyday due to the noise, when we complained about the noise we were lied to again and told they didn’t start til 9am we saw the workers there at 5am working next door to our room. The pool and jacuzzi are NOT heated. The hotel is clean and the majority of the staff are very nice but it isn’t as nice as the photos. Also they force you to valet park they would not let us park ourselves. None of this is told to you until you arrive and if you don’t want to stay then they charge you a cancellation. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Great location and nice views. Restaurant for breakfast was great. However, the room was VERY disappointing for the price. Walls were extremely thin and you could hear every sound from the hallway and the room next door (who ended up keeping me up until 1am with their laughter and loud talking).

Likes: The property was nice and quiet-isolated from the surroundings yet easily accessible to downtown and everything around it. It was also nice that it was basically connected to the resort next-door in case you wanted to go to dinner there. The housekeeping staff was friendly and very helpful. The food and beverage selections were excellent. Dislikes: There was no concierge for the 1st few days of our visit, which was disappointing. Though most of the staff was professional, a few could have used a little bit more training and polish in terms of their approach. There were some physical plant issues such as one faucet in the bathroom not working. The pool was nice, but chair space is somewhat limited. It also would have been nice if bar service was available at the pool, although servers were intermittently available at poolside.

My husband and I stayed for his 40th birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. The front desk was so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. The resort and rooms were beautiful and clean. I loved the lotion and bathroom extras. I cannot wait to bring our family here!

Beautiful property, nicely appointed rooms. I like the smaller size of this resort - definitely boutique quality. Great location and friendly staff. The internet was a bit slow at times but not a big deal. A bigger deal was a construction zone immediately adjacent to our room which made what would have been a relaxing patio to enjoy essentially useless. Very loud sawing and knocking both days between 4&6 pm. Not a big deal on arrival day as we were out, but on our 2nd night I wanted to enjoy the cute patio and beautiful weather but couldn’t due to the excessive loud and persistent electric sawing. The manager was very gracious upon hearing of this condition (which was not disclosed at check in) and offered to waive the resort fees and offered a small room discount as well. I think she made what could have been a negative experience at least a slightly better one. We would definitely come back :) !

For such an expensive resort, Amara was not great. We did not feel special. Not even a bottle of water in the room. We were promised an anniversary gift which never arrived. We went to the pool late one afternoon, and the towel bin was empty. Dirty towels were everywhere and dirty dishes around the pool. The golf cart that brings people up the hill was broken, apparently they have no backup. Our room had a vibrating floor and a loud fan from downstairs. Front desk and valet staff were efficient though.

Air conditioner was so loud we couldn’t sleep well. We tried turning down the fan speed to low but it was already on low. I have traveled extensively and have never heard such a loud air conditioner. It kept turning off and on with water dripping sounds every few minutes. The hotel was over $400 so we expected to have a peaceful sleep. We were not able to tour Sedona the next day we were too tired. The restaurant was good and the property was in a great central location.

The property has a lot of deferred maintenance. Exterior paint color of buildings patched in areas, dying grass on the side of the building where our room was, balcony railings are rusted and need painted, dirty carpet in hallways. For a resort of this caliber it was disappointing seeing the condition of the property.

Last minute reservation, literally the last room available. Desk staff was great, room not so much in back, view of walk, next to hotel “work area” which was busy at 3am. Pretty disappointing for the price!, would have been better to stay in one of the local chain hotels
