Centrally situated for sightseeing. Professional courteous and welcoming check-in staff as were the all the staff.

Nice hotel close to everything

The hotel was lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and there were plenty of options for breakfast. We were able to park easily, despite the carpark only having 7 spaces and the hotel is situated nicely. The only downside was that the hotel didn't have a restaurant, so we wete unable to order food in the evening, when the kids were too tired to go back out.

Hotel was clean , perfectly situated opposite a tram stop . Breakfast was good . Tea and coffee complimentary all day if needed . Lots of restaurants within walking distance and all sights are either walkable or available on the tram line

Hotel is in a great location, a short walk from the station. It is directly across the road from the Edinburgh Playhouse and The Omni Centre with pubs and restaurants. Hotel was very clean and all staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was small and quite basic but beds were very comfy. Bathroom was small and there was a high step up to the shower tray. Some of the tray sealant was quite mouldy. Breakfast was really good.

The front desk staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Breakfast was hot and topped up quickly. Hotel room had everything we needed...shower was lovely. Hotel was overall very clean. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to stay again.

Lovely two nights in Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh City Centre. Lovely clean room, delicious breakfast and helpful staff.

Stayed for 2 nights with my son, comfortable beds, breakfast was decent though busy at 9ish, hard to get a teen up before 9! Shower was perfect could’ve stood in it for an hour lol, friendly staff, easy checkout. Tram stop outside hotel along with buses.

Beautifully clean throughout. Lovely staff, especially the staff at breakfast, so cheery, polite and efficient. The coffee machine in the foyer is a great perk, at night I went down for hot chocolate.

It was absolutely amazing staff were very friendly. We arrived on Monday and the young lady gave us a first floor room as my wife has walking difficulty. Breakfast and the room was fantastic

Great location for this hotel just across tram from airport and 5 minutes to Princes street and about another 10 to royal mile and castle . Very clean and comfortable room although no conditioner provided ( just a little gripe). Lovely buffet breakfast with hot and cold choices Would recommend booking through hotels.com as a lot cheaper than just turning up

The hotel was in an excellent area for walking around the city. My main disappointment was breakfast which was just awful as the hotel did not operate a booking system and as it was very busy there just wasn’t enough space or food to cater for the number of guests. Some of the guests, including us, were forced to sit in the lobby downstairs on bar stools. Other than that, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable but the plumbing made a very loud clonking which went in for ages each time the toilet was flushed. I would definitely stay here again due to the location.

Overall, the property met our needs for shopping the Christmas markets and visiting the castle. The room was small considering the cost. The breakfast was average. Parking was convenient. The staff was polite and helpful. I would stay at this property again.

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were small, which we expected in a big city, but an excellent use of space. 4 of us fit in the room well and they had left us plenty of towels without us asking, which we appreciated. There was not much space for luggage storage with the pull-out sofa in use, but that’s ok because we didn’t have much luggage. The room was clean and the hotel while quite busy was quiet. The breakfast was outstanding, “Full English” hot breakfast with muffins, toast, friiit, cereals, yogurt, etc. We were very pleased and very impressed. The location was great, near the theater and a mall, and steps away from the tram stop (which also services the airport). A very short walk to the Christmas Markets, train station, and Carlton Hill. Pleased with the location. The only caution is to bring your own toiletries. While there is body wash and a hair dryer in the room, there wasn’t any conditioner or body lotion. Overall it was a wonderful stay
