Perfectly situated right on Main Street in the heart of downtown Helen, this one-bedroom cottage at the Upcountry Inn provides a front-row seat to outdoor adventure. Stroll a few blocks to the Chattahoochee River, charming shops and restaurants, and the longest-running Oktoberfest in the United States. Nora Mill is a standalone cottage on the grounds of the Upcountry Inn, ideally located half a mile from Helen's Oktoberfest each September and October. In this picturesque Bavaria-inspired town, you'll be within walking distance of the river, trails, tubing adventures, great dining and shopping, mini-golf, and so much more. Unicoi State Park and Lake are only two miles north as well, where you can spend the summer paddleboarding, swimming, and fishing. Through the storybook red door is a living space that's wonderfully modern and comfortable. Begin each morning by preparing breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen, and share stacks of pancakes at the dining room table to prepare for a day full of fun. In the evenings, unwind in central AC, stream movies on the living room's smart TV, and log onto the complimentary WiFi to catch up on email or share a few photos. THINGS TO KNOW There is no cable, but streaming services for the smart TV are available with guests' own account credentials. There is no washer/dryer. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. Great stand alone property. Clean and the interior is well appointed. Nice tall/large shower. Kids loved the bunkbeds. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay and loved that it was walking distance from town and all the shops and restaurants. I would recommend to anyone with littles, as they enjoyed the bunk beds.

This was such a great little cottage! We had our 2 year old son with us and there was plenty of room for all 3 of us. The bathtub is great for kids of course. Everything you could need honestly. From the nice fridge to a smart tv. It was a great location. Very safe. It’s right off the main strip so you can’t hear the passing traffic near as bad. Walking distance to right downtown Helen. It’s like a 5 minute walk to right downtown. Being Right beside Betty’s county store was so helpful for last minute snack and drink runs. Our only complaint/negative ( don’t mean to be petty) but the beds were pretty hard and an adjustment to sleep in for sure. Also the hot water ran out pretty fast. Another problem we had was lights and passing car lights coming through our bedroom curtains. It wasn’t all night. But every once in awhile so it was enough to wake the toddler some throughout the night. But overall It was all super clean and cute and we would definitely stay here again!

We loved everything about our stay! Our suite was super cleaned, it had everything we needed. Walking distance to all the restaurants and activities that Helen has to offer. Vacasa local team were amazing. Looking forward to coming back next year. Ready to book for our 3rd year in a row.

We were able to walk to everything downtown Helen. Right beside Betty’s which was very convenient. House is newly renovated. Will definitely stay here again.

Easy to find and a fantastic place to stay. Perfect for two adults and two children. The kids loved the bunk beds. Easy walk to everything. Loved having Betty's groceries right next door.

From the cozy location, to the beautiful interior, Nora Mill was the perfect place for us during this adventure in Georgia. Very clean, well lit, comfortably furnished, and reasonably priced, if we ever come back to Helen we won’t be looking to stay anywhere other than here!!

This is a newer property and recently redecorated! It was well done and easy to maneuver. Plenty of towels and most everything was clean with the exception of the pullout sofa bed. We found money (bonus) kids hair rubber bands, sunglasses…Needless to say we did not use it. I attempted to reach the property owners or management company and was not able to find email or texts since I had pics, I wanted to make sure they saw that housekeeping needed to do a little better. Other than that the property was just fine hat we needed! We went to Betty’s store daily for coffee and a Diet Coke in glass bottle! A few things we took note of to make this propoerty a little more enjoyable since we stay at many Properties , 1. We need hooks in the back of the door to hang wet towels or reinforce the shower curtain to withstand the weight of a towel 2. There is no remote (that we could find) to adjust volume of the tv however there was a small button on the back of the tv but a remote would be easier. 3. We need instructions on the ceiling fans… we believe there is a separate on/off switch but they only worked 1/2 the time. 4. The front door needs blinds. Although there is not a lot of foot traffic in front of the house, we felt very exposed at night and linked a sheet over the front door. Not trying to be picky just thought these were a few ideas, others might benefit from. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!!!

Very clean, newly remodeled, home-like warm cozy feeling. bunk beds and queen bed very comfortable. Excellent location! Everything in walking distance. We had an awesome stay and I would rent again.

Our place was lovely. It was immaculately clean and everything was like new- it was in the perfect location and we had privacy as this was a single family residence. We have stayed in Helen many times in the past but this was by far the best location and home we have ever stayed in.
