Far from 5-star as a hotel, or service by comparison to 5-star hotels I have stayed in.

Location.

Shower head was broken – not attachable to the column, so had to hold it. Furniture laminate was bubbled. Staff welcome was non-existent. Rooftop bar closed at 10/nobody manned the downstairs bar – not quite what was advertised to me on Booking.com. I was trapped in the broken lift for 10 minutes. The hotel printer didn’t work when I asked for a receipt. All in all, a long way from its ‘5-star’ rating.

Not enough bang for the buck...

Loved the large bathroom, the size of the room, and the heated swimming pool. The man who staffed breakfast was lovely and went out of his way to make sure we got everything we needed. The lobby and breakfast area was beautiful and the doorman was very helpful with our bags. Big, fluffy pillows and nice duvet. Excellent and very safe location, we had everything a family could need right on the doorstep and the food options around were stellar. Very easy to check-in and check-out.

The bar upstairs had no staff and we had to go in search of a barman. The concierge called us two cabs, both canceled on her and so we finally had to call one ourselves. The staff at check-in was not very welcoming and the bar staff was definitely a jobsworth. The housekeeping staff didn't refill our room tea/coffee items or our towels and we had to request more. The room itself was decorated like a Russian brothel and had very low lighting, as did the hallways. The hot breakfast was sitting there for ages and not particularly appetizing. For what we paid to stay for a week, it was not worth the price.

Fantastic

Hotel was excellent the only issue I had was that I didn’t know there was a cinema or swimming pool it wasn’t really advertised and at breakfast didn’t know you could have different eggs as no one said anything Apart from these issues which aren’t really issues I would not hesitate to book there again all staff very polite Especially reception and concierge See you all next year

perfect -

perfect location for our stay to visit the bike shed and show - our third visit to this hotel as clean and comfortable with all required facilities - great breakfast and friendly helpful staff - best breakfast maitre-d/breakfast manager very professional and very friendly !

staff were helpful, welcoming and friendly would highly recommend to anyone who just needs a getaway break they make things super easier for you

on the night i stayed no chef was present so i had to make alternative plans for dinner, i wasn’t informed during check-in

Exceptional

Had a great stay at the hotel with my husband, daughter, and her partner with our 2 young grandchildren. We enjoyed the facilities in the hotel, especially the swimming pool and sauna, it was an added bonus. The rooms were large ,clean, and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, I would especially like to praise the concierge/porter who was on duty both days helping with our parking ,all our bags taken to our room and there were a few. Was very attentive and pleasant every time we saw him. The location was great for attractions, restaurants, and bars day an night. I would highly recommend a stay at the courthouse hotel.

There was nothing to dislike.

probably a bad night towards the end of the year

the colour theme and design of the room

the service was ridiculous, was told breakfast is served til 11am so came down to eat a buffet breakfast at 10:30 and was told breakfast is done and hotel doesn’t do room service and the bed was really bad, it rocked even by the movement of my two month old baby

Breath of fresh air, lovely hotel, delivers on its promises, and the staff were exceptional.

Unusual characterful building with nice decor and dark, quiet bedrooms. Staff were so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, and this continued up until the moment we left.

Only negative was the parking, the directions for hotel car park were poor.

room was very big

rooftop bar want open cinema only open on a Sunday shower in the pool we’re all very cold no hot water and no one there to book treatments at the spa even though they advertised all this.

would not advise to stay here, won’t be returning

good location

cold showers, waste was blocked up so couldn’t have a shower for longer than 5 mins without water going over the edge, rude staff, too expensive

Hidden gem in London

I stay here often when working in London. It’s a great location, always clean and the reception staff are brilliant. Plus the building has so much history in it- a unique place to stay!

Minor gripe, but the lift off reception is unpredictable. But a good excuse to use the stairs!
