About this house rental

Nestled in Bradenton Beach, this lovely house for $434 per night is a great choice for your next break. Relax on the 3rd-floor veranda, and gaze out across the serene aquamarine waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The sea breeze is scented with jasmine and frangipani. Fresh air and the sounds of the surf will lower your blood pressure and make you glad to be alive! This elegant, sunshine-yellow, 4br/3ba vacation home will help you to cherish every sunrise and vibrant sunset. Aptly named “Sun’s Up,” this Anna Maria island paradise is just ½ block (2 min stroll) from the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. The spacious, family-friendly home features a private, heated, saltwater pool shaded by graceful palm trees, as well as alfresco dining on the covered veranda, and balcony views of the sea. This three-story home has a first floor/ground level semi-basement with a carport, garage and a game room. Living: The bright and beachy living room has a heather gray sectional sofa, coffee table, and wall-mounted SmartTV. This living area has travertine tile floors, soothing neutral tones, and a few splashes of cool coastal colors incorporated in seascape wall art and beachy decor. This living room has a relaxed, comfortable vibe; a family-friendly gathering area for easy conversation, cozying up with a book, or kicking back to stream your favorite shows or movies. Envision gathering for family game nights or reading bedtime stories on this comfortable sofa. French doors from the living room open out to the covered, sunshine-yellow front veranda, which offers a beautiful teakwood alfresco dining table with seating for four. Large living room windows overlook the sparkling swimming pool, palms, and charming, pedestrian-friendly island neighborhood. Kitchen/Dining: The open-concept design of the kitchen/living/dining area makes for easy entertaining. The chef’s kitchen has plentiful, maple-hued hardwood cabinets, spacious granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances including a French door fridge/freezer with icemaker, an electric range and oven, a microwave, a double basin sink, and a dishwasher. A Keruig and drip coffee maker are both provided. (and yes, there is chef’s caliber sharp cutlery in a designated drawer!) The kitchen island boasts wide counter space as well as a bar top with stool seating for two. This island bar seating makes the kitchen space much more social and fun! Guests can join the chef for a cocktail or conversation during meal prep. The open kitchen has a distinct Mediterranean ambiance with warm earth tones; warm-natural hue travertine tile floors, and splashes of coastal decor in hues of blue, white, and aqua. Details such as arched doorways, arched kitchen pass-through, and high ceilings enhance the Mediterranean style. Whimsical sculptures of sea birds and seascape paintings draw in the beach vibe. The kitchen passthrough has granite countertops and breakfast bar stool seating for four on the living room side. A great spot to sip your morning coffee or freshly squeezed citrus juice! Or, sit here to chat with the chef as breakfast pancakes are prepared! These extra seating areas make this kitchen a more dynamic social hub of the home. The main dining table is located to one side of the kitchen, below a ceiling fan with a lamp. This rustic, distressed-style table, combined with its six blue and white rustic chairs, enhances the beachy vibe of the kitchen. If the weather is nice, you may also choose to dine outside, on the covered front veranda. Bedrooms and Baths: This home has four bedrooms, and three bathrooms, and sleeps 8 guests. There are phone/tablet/computer charging stations in each bedroom, as well as silent ceiling fans and SmartTVs. The beds have luxury mattresses and sumptuous linens. There are bath towel sets for 10 guests. There are hairdryers in each bathroom. Recently installed Miami-Dade-certified hurricane doors and windows dampen outside noise to a whisper. There are blackout shades on all bedroom windows and patio doors to make it easier for children and adults to fall asleep or sleep in and wake refreshed. On the second (main) floor, just off the kitchen, there is one bedroom with a Queen size bed. This main floor bedroom has access to a hallway full bathroom. Property was nice. Plenty of room for 8 of us. Needed sone window civerings in a room. Elevator was not working so carrying heavy bags up 2 fkights of stairs may be an issue for some. Pool was a bit cold. Asked to have it turned up a bit but never recieved. All in all we would stay here again. Centrally located, a block from the beach and a 2 from the bay for your sunrise and sunset. A nice walk to Bridge street. They had plenty of extras for the stay as well! The rec room could use and update, pool is small but perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay! There was plenty of room for our family of 7. The house was very close to the beach. There were enough beach chairs for all of us. A few suggestions: it would have been nice to have a couple beach umbrellas, as there were none to rent nearby. Also could have used some pot holders in the kitchen. These are minor things, but just suggestions. Also, 2 balls missing from the pool table. Overall, a wonderful stay!!

The location couldn't be better with this home! The pool was awesome and in working order, as was the AC (thank goodness!). However, we arrived around 9:00pm and despite receiving 4 different emails with 4 different door codes as well as a text with yet another code, we couldn't get in. I finally got a hold of someone and we got inside. The main toilet upstairs was broken (and the water was turned off to it so obviously someone knew it wasn't working). I texted the number about that and trying to figure out the AC and the person was pretty rude. Just "I'll send someone out tomorrow." no help with getting the air to work and he/she ignored me after that. It was after 9:00 but we were just arriving from across the country! It's not too much to ask to help us not sleep in sweltering heat! They did get the toilet fixed the next day and the other people I spoke with were much more polite. But first impression wasn't great. Several other things were broken in the home. The dishwasher. The garbage disposal. The lock on the door going out to the pool. (the house is for sure not little kid safe as the lock is broken and the alarm is completely dismantled.) The home is just really neglected. It seems like it's just a money machine for some corporate company and not a home. BUT the location was AWESOME. The beach isn't real crowded and the sand is like sugar! The beach is nice and calm. If they could just fix all the things in the house, it would be the perfect home!

Upon check-in we noted several issues. A bedroom had no window coverings at all & was clearly visible from the next door neighbor's pool. There were 2 billiard balls missing rendering the pool table unusable by adults. The beach chairs promised for every guest were in terrible shape - rusted & broken - only 5 were usable at all. The fridge ice maker is completely broken. There are no functional umbrellas or shade at the pool. So we immediately contacted Terry & requested just a few fixes. We asked for some type of window covering for the bedroom being used by a teenage girl. And for a complete set of billiard balls. First they tried to tell me that the listing doesn't promise window coverings! But the VRBO description clearly stated "room darkening shades'. After I pointed this out, I never heard from Terry again! No billiards balls not even a sheet to provide some privacy on the 14 year old's bedroom window! The location & size of this house were great but the massive state of disrepair & the unresponsive management were unacceptable. Keep looking & don't rent from Terry & Sandy at Anna Maria Island Rentals!!

Sums Up B was a great spot to relax and good proximity to the beach. It could use some updates and maybe a little bit of a tidy up but over all nice to be a street away from the ocean. The game room / garage was definitely lacking and littered with broken chairs and left over trash and remnants of past guests. The pool deck could also be a little less cluttered with broken umbrellas. The house could also use a few more comforts to really make it stand out…perhaps a coffee table and a couple extra blankets would make the stay just a little sweeter.

We thought this house was in a really great location with just a short walk to the beach and trolley stop as well as many items for your time at the beach. The private pool was perfect and overall we had plenty of space for all of us and enjoyed the house and our stay. There were a few maintenance needs like the dishwasher that isn’t screwed in so you have to hold it in place with your body while loading/unloading it and the main shower drain was clogged but overall the house was great for our group.
