it is located on the back of the Madrid Palace, and most of the tourist attractions are within walking distance.
The facilities are a bit old.

Excellent location next to Plaza Espana, Gran Via and the Royal Palace. Very nice and organised stuff. Rich breakfast. Classic and premium room setting. Was a positive surprise.
Only minor things like too cool in the breakfast hall at times, while it was above 35°C outside. Two but independent elevators were not efficient. Not so easy to operate shower.

Staff was very friendly. My room was very clean and all the amenities were accounted for. The location was also very nice and close/walkable to the train/subway stations. It is also walkable to several tourist attractions. I would stay here again.

The location is good - between Plaza de España and Principe Pio metro/train station.
There was a lot of noise at night, though I couldn’t tell whether it came from outside or the floor above. The toilet had an unpleasant smell, and the building - including the doors - seemed quite old and not very well maintained. I also noticed a thick layer of dust on the telephone in the room, which was not cleaned at any point during our four-night stay.
