The location could hardly be better in terms of public transport, walkability, groceries, bars and restaurants. The building and rooms themselves were very comfortable indeed. I will definitely be back!

What did I like?
Location, 15-minute walk from central train station.
Personal welcome and help with luggage upstairs.
Good, large kitchen sink.
Good shower, ample counter space in bathroom and a helpful separate mirror.
The standing fan was appreciated on hot days.
The TV has a few English channels (BBC, EuroNews).
Blackout drapes. Clothes-drying rack. Shoehorn. Plenty of hangers.
Steep, narrow stairs (51 steps to suite 8), no elevator (this is a heritage building).
Bedroom and living room windows don’t open; only the balcony door opens, so can’t have fresh air at night or when it’s raining and must close up if leaving the apartment (risk of birds entering?).
Small fridge; no freezer.
Communications not always prompt.
No short or eco cycle on washing machine (synthetics wash is 2h 30m).
Recycling not promoted or facilitated.
Photos on booking.com not representative of unit 8. (No photos of this unit.)
