It was close to where we wanted to be. No amenities which we knew. However it was very over priced. Soap dispensers in the bathroom at sink and in tub were empty. 1 roll of toilet paper. Cobwebs in corners. Due to no amenities it should be priced much less

Our stay was fantastic! We love that this property is in the process of being revamped and updated. The new colors of the outside are appealing and make it look brand new. We will for sure be staying at Birchmont again and can't wait to see what they get done next season!

Best view of Lake Superior in Marquette. Easy access. Very convenient with kitchenette in room, laundry on site. Wish we could have stayed longer

Great view, of Lake Superior, from balcony. Good parking. Very convenient location for traveling to Marquette and Munising for activities. The stairs are dangerous. I couldn't get a good grip on the railing. IF we ever stay here again, it would only be if we could reserve a ground floor room. Bathroom was not clean. The shamppo/conditioner dispenser, in the shower, was broken. Not a "roomy" room. Had to unplug the microwave and a.c. ìn order to have a place to plug in phones and computer. The parking lot and stairs are too dark at night and in eatly morning. Could use more lighting there.

There should be more lighting around area & signage. Missed it the first pass by. Floor wet by fridge. Should let it known this is in the way outskirts & to eat before coming. Dated to 70’s at least.

Hey, after a long day was great to have a bed, but outside of that experience fell flat. For the price the room was extremely dated and outside of AI taking our reservation and money, and telling us when it was time to leave, and how to check out… there’s virtually zero human connection. Who needs it.

Great location and beautiful view. Easy in and out. Clean, comfortable, fridge & microwave were nice ot have but walls a little thin so could hear neighbors talk all night. I would stay again but get 2nd floor.

We didn't stay because we got COVID. Teresa at the hotel was wonderful and refunded our money. Our experience with HOTELS.com has been unsatisfactory. BECAUSE the systems were being overhauled they would not issue an email that my reservation was cancelled. I called a few times to try to talk with a supervisor and had no luck. I was informed I would not be charged. However, I wanted to see that from Hotels.com in writing. If I don't and I do get charged I will contact the Better Business Bureau and dispute the charges.

Nice view. US 41 a bit noisy and I didn't understand the height of the shower head (it's about 5ft) but otherwise quite pleasant

Enjoy scratchy sheets that remind you of the military green blankets. The bed has a pillow top but it was hard and lumpy. Also if you love 2 minute hot showers with immediate cold afterwards. This place is for you. It’s comparable to glamping with a great scenic lake view. Also the property lost half of my reservation due to ownership transfer is May. So I only got to stay the later half of my stay because I lengthened the trip by one day. P.S. There isn’t nobody to get help in person, you only can text your concerns. Good luck with this motel.

It's all remote check-in so ther else nobody on-site to talk to if there are any issues. It is totally different then the friendy owners of the past. I couldn't get into the area where you get ice with my key card and there is no "office" anymore so your out of luck. You get bombarded with multiple automated text messages the day before to take out your garbage upon check out. Owner is extremely apethetic with no real interest in customer satisfaction. No personal connection to customer like there used to be. The smallest coffee pot they make was in the room. Other customers joked about it being a quarter cup coffee maker. Our neighbor bought a coffee maker at walmart in town. We always bring ours just in case so had to bring it in and use it. My family owned a motel in Traverse City for 40 years and we would never treat customers to such bad or absent service. Not like it used to be with the previous owners.

Nice clean comfortable room, and all we needed for an overnight stay on our motorcycle tour around Lake Superior. Definitely a no-frills motel, but was fine for what we needed. Laundry area was a plus. Had no contact with staff as everything was done via e-mail or text. Glad that there was no issues or concerns with the room or reservation as no one to talk to.

Motel would not acknowledge reservation. No room at the inn. Final cost to get a room was more expensive than original reservation made and ac never worked. Not the least bit happy. Would like to document it for you. provide an email address to send the history of this vacation / room experience with you.

Room was nice and clean. Everything about the motel was outdated and rundown. It is very noisy being on the main highway. Everything worked as expected. The only good thing about the place is that it was clean.

The outdoor lights turn off at 10 PM made it difficult to socialize outside on the deck. This place is also set up more like an Airbnb.

This is an excellent value. The location is very good, and we really liked the refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, and microwave.

Nice and clean. I loved that the room had a code so you didn’t have to check in at the front desk. Nice picnic tables and great balcony. Highly recommend!

We were given the wrong code to check into our room, so when we tried to get in no one was in the office to help us and it took people 25 minutes to reply to our texts and did not answer any phone calls. We were standing outside for 30 minutes in the middle of the night before we could get into our room.
