Beautiful old house/ hotel out in the middle of no where. Did a phenomenal 3 course dinner for £40 which we thought was phenomenal value and was really good quality food. Phenomenal whisky selection at the bar and a decent selection of beers and wine as well. Lovely open fire in the main sitting room. All the staff were very friendly and room was great too

After making an error in a booking with another lodging, I made a last minute reservation here. The staff could not have been more welcoming. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. Best night sleep I had in weeks!
Food was excellent and staff again was happy to do whatever is required to make for a great stay.

Spacious bedrooms, a lovely bath to soak in after a long days walk. Friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing, many different choices to choose from. All the different types of fresh fruit of fruit salad was amazing. The best I have every had in any hotel.
We ordered the evening meal. This was also a work of art. The tasts were well mixed and the ingredients of very good quality.
The price was quite high, but I guess the service and size of rooms and the breakfast were partly why. And the site where the hotel is is not near any cities.

The sheets were nice quality. It was clean. A good whisky collection. Breakfast was hot and tasty
The evening meal is one sitting and a vvv limited choice on the menu. If you don’t have a starter you have to wait for everyone to have their starters before you get your main. Very bizarre. This place is not walking distance to alternative options
