View from bedroom window of the harbour.
Dinner burger meat was tasteless and breakfast was of poor quality. Water leaked from the bathroom shower constantly on to the vinyl floor causing a health and safety issue. {slip hazard}

Myself and my partner stayed at the Kirkwall Hotel in one of mini suites. The room was exceptional with tasteful furniture and locally sourced fittings. The small details and decorative features that has been put into the room was something we both appreciated. Now the bathroom oh WOW I’ve stayed in high end Disney property and this blew them away! Again attention to detail with quality at heart.
The bathroom comprised of a very large roll top bathtub, double shower and a his and hers sink set all laid on a beautifully tiled floor that was a touch of modern but also keeping in with the period charm of the building.
The restaurant serves some fantastic plates but the whisky bar is certainly the centre piece with a very vast range of malts especially Highland Park. All the staff were very knowledgeable of the malts and other drinks that were there.
In a nutshell the hotel oozes charm is well maintained, exceptionally clean and is staffed by people who care and take pride in their work.
We will be returning ❤️

Room was excellent
Scaffolding obscured our view totally & booking.com never informed us about this. Hotel staff were as accommodating as they could be
