Built in the early 1900s, this quirky yet enchanting cabin has been added onto over the years and is now a wandering collection of winsome rooms that will delight every guest. The former owner, Mr. Daley, was of Austrian descent and a consummate world traveler. His mother, Nona, would sneak to the Austrian mountainside to pick Edelweiss and it is for her family legend that this cabin is named. The home is still stocked with Mr. Daley's books, memorabilia and travel guides. His world map in the corner of the great room boasts of the many places he visited. This is all part of the charm of Edelweiss Mountain Haus, where guests will truly feel at home. The spacious great room boasts exposed log wall that is part of the original cabin that makes up the bones of Edelweiss. The many mullioned windows provide both ample light and stellar views of the surrounding mountains. Multiple comfy sofas and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves surround a large stone fireplace, and a large oak table with seating for eight offers a great spot for dinners and conversation. The living area leads into the kitchen, well-stocked with full-size appliances and well-lit with skylights. Just outside is the deck with a gas grill and outdoor furniture for summer relaxation and dining. The first floor features two queen bedrooms, a completely remodeled full and half bath, and an easily accessible laundry area just off of the kitchen. Head up the stairs to the loft bedroom, which features a cozy full bath, kitchenette with a microwave and mini-fridge, a small table for two and a full-size bed. A door opens to a roomy deck with million-dollar views of Lumpy Ridge. perfect location for a quick weekend stay!

Our stay at edelweiss house in Estes was perfect! The house was clean and easy to get to. It is a quaint, cozy home with so much character and yet all the modern amenities. The kitchen was well stocked and proved to be the center of activity. The little sunroom just off the kitchen was the perfect place for the kiddos to play while we prepared meals and got ready for the day. There are amazing views from all angles and every window. We got to view the rare blue moon thru the telescope. The large windows throughout the home bring so much light into the space. The upstairs room is a very cozy place with the most amazing view!! The kiddos loved playing in the little library space behind the living room too. We enjoyed looking thru all the books and piecing together all the rich history of the home. We were within walking distance of town and went down daily so the kids could play at the little playground by the river. Close to both RMNP entrances! We enjoyed sitting on the deck and porch in the evenings. The beds were comfortable. Check in and check out were easy and smooth. We had no issues at all and would have stayed longer if we could have! Made many beautiful memories.

Exactly as portrayed on website & pictures. Had no problems at all, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cabin was roomy & comfortable, in a very convenient location to both RMNP & shops/restaurants. 5 people in our group all very comfortably accommodated with sleeping & living spaces.

This was a great spot for being able to walk to the restaurants and breweries in town! The view from the master is beautiful, but some shades on the windows would have been nice so we could have slept in a little. It did get a little warm with no AC, but the provided fans helped a lot. We loved our stay in Estes park and RMNP!

This place is homey and rustic. There are a few things that could be updated, but the vibe is exactly as portrayed in the photos. It's located a couple blocks from the shops and restaurants of Estes Park and has amazing views, especially from the upper deck. Would stay again.

Comfortable, feels more private because it sits at the dead end of the street. A very easy walk to town. Nice large dining & living space. Plus lots of separate spaces for family with grown children. Nice bedrooms. Great having the 2.5 baths. Very well kept, lots of conveniences. Well equiped kitchen & laundry.

Girls' weekend for longtime friends, enjoyed a weekend getaway to the mountains. Had a spectacular time.

Great place to stay in Estes.

Overall a good stay. Some considerations, Floors creak a lot almost to much, pots and pans could be replaced, no blinds in master bedroom and kitchen- would like to have a little more privacy at night, spider webs need to be removed from kitchen/ skylights and curtains, outside chairs need to be updated to enjoy, limited channels on TV (sports fans want to watch sports at night), inside dinning room table is older and could be replaced.
Awesome location, can walk everywhere,

We had hoped to visit just before Christmas but I caught Covid. They were happy to reschedule us. When I was better my wife and I went up to Estes. We did not have our adult children due to rescheduling. We were very pleased with the quaint cabin. It was large for two but we enjoyed the wonderful setting and the personal touch of the previous owner. We have traveled the world some but the wall map of the world with pins was an amazing sight. We talked about renting it again and trying to bring our family another time. The views were fantastic.

Great location and nice cabin style accommodations. Small shower upstairs but I’m a fairly small guy - under 175 lbs and 6’ tall. I think it’d be problematic for anyone much bigger than me. Loved the fact that we could walk to the main street in under five minutes. Also literally 10 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park entrance.. These accommodations are perfect for those looking for a good sleep for hiking and easy access to food and entertainment downtown.

This house is within walking distance to the main strip of shops and a short drive to RMNP and several other hiking areas. The house sits at the end of the road, so we really didn't have much noise from neighbors or cars driving past.

Wonderful and suited our needs well!

The two main bedrooms are separated by a walk-through bathroom. The upstairs bedroom was nice but it would be hard for someone with any agility problems to reach. Overall the place was very nice and we had a great time

great views, meet our expectations

Eccentric cabin with a great location. Lots of possessions from the former owner everywhere which is a bit interesting, but we still had plenty of space for everything and everyone. I’d stay here again.

Recommend curtains or blinds for bedrooms. Not everyone likes to get up with sunrise or sleep with street lights streaming in. Also for privacy.

We had a great experience staying at the Edelweiss Mountain Haus. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocked with cookware and dishes (we cook while on vacation), nice bathrooms and homey living areas. We loved the views from EVERY direction - mountains on all sides, and a view of the town to include the Stanley! We considered staying further out toward RMNP, but it was a plus being in town close to shopping, groceries, restaurants, etc. Our mountain experience was not diminished (thanks in part to a late-season snow), and we had daily visits from bunnies, deer and elk. The park is only minutes away, so we had the best of both experiences.
Estes Park has become a new favorite destination for my family, and we plan to go back in the future. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
