The owner Carlos met us at the airport and gave us a ride to the property, which we really appreciated. I don't think they do this for all guests! We rented 2 apartments, Unit 1 for me and my husband, and Unit 3 for my two adult children. The property was impeccably clean and appeared to be a recent high-end renovation of a historic building, with lovely original wood ceilings and exposed stone doorframes. Both apartments were roomy and had fully equipped kitchens and washer/dryer machines as well as cute details throughout (see photos). The units faced the street, but exterior noise was minimized when we closed the balcony shutters. Location was A+ and a less than 5 min walk to the marina and the main plaza/restaurants, so we did not need to rent a car. One of the best vacation rentals we have ever stayed in!
Beds were a bit firm for our liking. I would suggest adding a shower caddy/shelf in the showers of both units and a small table in the Unit 3 bathroom to hold personal toiletries. There wasn't really anything else to criticize.

Supertof appartement in het midden van Angra do Heroïsmo. Alles erop en er aan. Superleuke eigenaren die hele goeie tips gaven. 5 dagen van genoten!

This would have to be one of the best apartments we have stayed in. A beautiful heritage space restored with great respect and attention to detail. The bedroom was spacious with a huge, incredibly comfortable bed, and the living room was equally comfortable and inviting.
The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed, and we loved being able to see the water from the balcony window. The location was perfect — close to amazing restaurants and within easy walking distance of all the sights in town.
A wonderful place to stay and one we would highly recommend.
