Lovely stay.
The staff were excellent - very welcoming.
Lovely breakfast and great location for exploring.
Beds rather soft and bathroom would benefit from an update.

If you are looking for a spot that has character this, is it, it was a cozy old place above a pub. We went in the off season, so we had the place to ourselves. Nice little bookshelf filled with some fun activities to pass extra time off devices too! The food in the pub was not great for the price we paid, but the breakfast was amazing!

Lovely hospitality. Excellent food. Best duvet nice and warm duvet I have had when traveling. They go above and beyond to accommodate guests. Perfect get away for some quiet time in a traditional old pub in a small village walking distance from the train station. Right next to multiple hiking paths to famous hill tops.

We had a great weekend at the Cheshire Cheese, the bed was clean and comfy and the bathroom was spacious with clean crisp towels that were of ample size.
Tbh, the room could do with a deep clean as there was a fair bit of dust visible behind cupboards etc . The decor is a bit dated, but its great value for money .
The staff are friendly and helpful, the food and beer is great and good value
Oh and the breakfast is fantastic
We've stopped here before, and we'll be back again. It's a great pub
$$$$
