Clean and cozy room. There were three options for breakfast, which were good. Staff were nice and helpful. Not many amenities near the hotel, but there’s a subway stop nearby (5 minute walk), from which one can connect to other locations.

I would return to Hotel Upper Diagonal without hesitation and recommend it to any friends traveling to Barcelona. My room was spacious and well appointed with a lovely relaxing view of a pool, trees and the surrounding mountains. Purified water kept me hydrated, my AC worked perfectly, the towels were the fluffiest I've encountered, and the price point was the envy of my fellow travelers who stayed elsewhere in the city. The hotel was a short walk to beautiful parks, Gaudi architecture, excellent restaurants, a high end shopping mall, and public transportation. I did not eat at the hotel but the restaurant was usually populated with happy groups so I imagine it was up to the neighborhood standards. A gem travelers should not overlook!
