I highly recommend staying at Casa Lirio! The management was great and when I planned to drop off my luggage, they let me get into the room a little early instead. The room was perfect and had a balcony to an outdoor table. There is a coffee maker and patio area available to still at for breakfast. The area was quiet and perfect for sleeping while being close to a coffee and pastry shop as well as a fruit shop.
The gothic quarter is the perfect location as it is a 20-25 minute walk past shops and restaurants to get to the beach. I will stay here again when in Barcelona next!

By far the best location to stay being in the heart of all the restaurants and walking distance from the train station! The place was interesting, probably overpriced for what you get, but not bad. We had a 4 person room but really 3 people have to sleep in one bed and the sofa bed is only big enough for one person. No space for our luggage. The shower is just a bathtub with no curtain so water goes everywhere. I wish there was more natural light, our curtains were broken and wouldn’t raise. The photos online are definitely nicer than reality. It would be a great place for one or two but definitely not 4.

The room was spacious and very modern in spite of being in a very old area. The location was excellent. The staff were very helpful and attentive.

Fantastic place! With a family of 3, I cannot recommend it enough. Great location, excellent staff and hospitality, and most importantly, exceptionally clean. For all families, it is a wonderful place to stay when exploring Barcelona.
