There's no AC in most of the rooms, and it's a very old building but well-maintained.

Overall a fine value for the price. Room itself is relatively nice for what you pay.

Good location.

Building is up a hill and connected to the University of Montreal. It can be difficult to access the front entrance by car at specific times due to the lot being inaccessible. The area is very walkable and close to the Metro station.
The lobby and amenities are great, but the rooms are excruciatingly hot in the summer months. The bathroom/showers are shared & not well maintained since it stays dirty for about 2-3 days max. There is no housekeeping unless your stay is longer than 7 days, so you have to maintain your own room to stay clean.
The room itself works for solo-travellers as there is ample room for storage. During my
stay, it was generally safe to leave most of my belongings in my room since there was no need for housekeeping (6 night stay).

Also I was very surprised to come out of my room to see a guy in a towel walking back to ..."
