This hotel has potential but unfortunately it doesn't look as though it has the backing of management. One of the annoying things about this hotel is the fact that there's no one on reception between about 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 midday the following day. Which is a shame, especially as the young man on reception, Rasu, is very pleasant and helpful.
The room: Although the family room is: fairly large, as you walk in the first thing you see is a stain on the carpet and the second is a stain on the bed sheets.
The room had the benefit of being able to open three large windows and also to change the thermostat on the radiator to suit your requirements.
The bathroom was spotless apart from a bit of mould in the shower cubicle. With a separate shower cubicle and a door — which is a rarity as so many hotels, especially four-star ones, have got rid of a door on their shower cubicle, which is ludicrous!
But the room is extremely outdated and desperately needs refreshing and modernising.
Area: The room and the surrounding area is the quietest I've ever encountered. You could literally hear a pin drop.
Breakfast: Not expecting much, I was pleasantly surprised by the abundant breakfast. In fact, the quality was better than the four-star hotel I'd just checked out of. The lady at breakfast was delightful and even cooked me a couple of fresh bread rolls 5 minutes before breakfast finished.
The Regio hotel group sent me an email just before check in to say that they are available 24/7 via WhatsApp. However, a couple hours after settling into the room I messaged them and it took them 11 hours to respond! And when they did they didn't manage to carry out a simple request. So I wouldn't expect any help or support from their customer services. I find this a bit troubling because clearly the hours the staff are on site are very limited. Goodness knows what you would do if you needed to get hold of anyone in an emergency.

We had a top floor room, comfortable bed, and quiet spot. We used the city parking down the street, which was easy and economical. Quick walk to historic center. Breakfast offered a variety of options in buffet.
We did the online check in but there was a person there to check us in. Both were straightforward.

Sehr schöne Lage
Das Frühstück war einfach nur schlecht.Kaltes Rührei,einfaches Nutellaglas mit unsauberen Rand,fast gefrorenes Brot,Brötchen hart,Kaffeeautomat zu wenig man musste lange anstehen.Milch war sauer und ungenießbar.
