The location was amazing. It's been my favorite hotel when I visit Madrid because you are few steps from the Royal Palace, from metro station, from Gran Via and Sol plaza.

Breakfast quite basic but it's a 2star hotel, so people that are not peaky eaters will find something for themselves. We loved the sweet pastries and cookies.
We booked 3 rooms and all three had very bad lighting. We came to Madrid for a concert so it was a nightmare getting ready and doing our makeup.
One of the rooms had extremely bad sewer smell. The same room also had ants. It's very unfortunate because I've stayed in this hotel many times before and never any issues. One of our guests was very unsatisfied. We didn't make a deal out of it because the guest noticed ants during the last night.
The bathroom furniture was quite worn ou in all of the rooms.
Would be good to have fresh orange juice.

It was a great location within short walking distance of the palace which is a great place once the heat of the day fades into sunset. Gran Via and the other main walking areas of Madrid are close by as well

Good location right next to opera train station. provided water in the room and hat water jug downstairs. Decent sized room.
Bed only had a sheet on it so I got the blanket out of the closet and I couldn’t use it because it clearly hadn’t been washed and had someone’s hair all over it. Ended up being cold both nights. It seemed if the air was on it would just run unless turned off. Did not seem to be an in between, but did not use the blanket because it was dirty.
