The property was a fair price as you got what you paid for. The host was very communicative and friendly overall. The kitchen was equipped with a large fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, dish soap, cutlery (no spoons), bowls etc. Rooms were also facilitated with towels, hand wash, shower gel, toilet roll, a hairdryer, essentially as much as any bog-standard hotel would give you. Parking was a must for me on this trip so it was fantastic to have it available!
The location isn’t great as there is a lot of homelessness in the area and I didn’t feel safe walking home at night. The door handle to enter the main building fell off at some point and wasn’t repaired for the remaining of our stay so we inconveniently had to exit through the back door/parking area. Temperature was a bit of an issue too, as much as L.A. is hot the AC is controlled centrally and was literally never turned off so the night and early mornings were extremely cold and the windows were difficult to open in order to regulate the temperature. The sofa in the living room was also quite dirty and I found it uncomfortable sitting on it for long periods of time as dried stains were visible. There were also weirdly no spoons in the properly, although there were knives and forks. I just never felt truly safe during my stay particularly as a woman, notably because of the area but the building just didn’t feel all that secure to me - if anyone was determined in trying to break in and kick down all doors I truly feel like they could have.
