The kitchen is fully equipped for assembling a quick snack or preparing a more elaborate meal. The private outdoor patio has a hot tub, BBQ & comfortable sitting area. This was the perfect location to visit wine country. It was very clean, we could sometimes hear the people in the main house but the bedroom is on the opposite end and we always bring a white noise machine to sleep and had no issues. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and were also willing to help collect my delayed bag which the airline sent to the wrong city. (The airline ended up delivering it directly to us, but I still appreciated the willingness to help.) Would 100% stay here again if we come back to Sonoma! Oh, and there was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived! We really appreciated that, and enjoyed the peaceful courtyard/patio area and hot tub.

The location within the city of Sonima was fine. We were close enough to be able to drive to most of the amazing wineries in both the Sonoma and Napa regions in under an hour. The room cottage was vey quiet and generally a nice place to stay. However, there are a couple of things about the listing that seemed deceptive. First, showing the availability of bikes and stating that the cottage is located 2.6 miles from Sonoma square would lead one to believe that you would be able to bike there. Not the case at all. Neither the neighborhood itself nor the streets between the cottage and the square are able to be safely biked AT ALL. In fact, in the welcoming book on the property it states specifically NOT to bike on the main road. This should be explicitly stated in the advertisement for the property listing OR just remove the bikes as an amenity altogether. Secondly, the hot tub had dirt in the bottom of it. Between guests, management needs to take the time to ensure that these things are checked for the next guest. It is not up to the guests to remind management to do that. Finally, the only passageway between the bedroom and the rest of the place has a door that is so off kilter that it doesn’t close within the frame. You had to physically pull up on the door to open/close it (with a loud sound accompanying it scaring everyone each time). I probably could have fixed it myself in 30 minutes, but we were here to drink wine, not manage the property.
