Built in 1861, this charming row home is located on a quiet street in the Historic District. This spacious one bedroom getaway is perfect for a couple looking to explore the rich history of Savannah, or a traveling single.
Enter your property via electronic lock, and forget the hassle of carrying keys! Stepping inside you'll be pleasantly surprised by the tall ceilings and the amount of natural light. The living room offers a plush grey sofa, arm chair and flat screen television, perfect for those who have their own Netflix or Hulu accounts! A dedicated dining space to enjoy home-cooked meals can be found just adjacent to the living room. Walking down the hall, guests will find the spacious and open kitchen that offers granite countertops, plenty of prep space and a full size washer/dryer thats tucked away. At the back of the home just outside of the bedroom, a roomy bathroom with vanity and shower/tub combination. The bedroom offers a comfortable king size bed, hotel grade linens and a television with access to stream your favorite apps. The private patio is just off of the bedroom, and is a private oasis perfect for a morning cup of joe.

The Honey Bee Cottage is in an excellent location-a short walk to Troup Square, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and historic Jones Street, voted one of the prettiest streets in the United States! A short drive or walk puts you on either Broughton Street or River Street where shopping and dining abound-it truly is the ideal location from which to explore Savannah.

The house was absolutely charming. The check-in was easy and all the information provided prior was helpful. Everything I needed was available to me. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am in town.

Pros: Great AC with quick response. Fantastic kitchen with good supplies, nice coffee maker with complimentary pouch of coffee, simple fridge, plenty of counter space, great dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Comfy king bed and comfy linens/towels. Hot water takes a little time to get hot, but once hot stays hot for a while. Bathroom had additional storage, plus hair dryer, soaps, shampoos, and toilet paper. TVs were nice in both living room and bedroom and had all of their remotes. Nice walk-in closet. Large circle dining room table, wich sits 4. Nice decor with nice lighting. Ceiling fan in the bedroom is a super plus. Quiet location and a good walking distance from the History district. Had a lovely patio area off of the bedroom, but we didn't use it. Cons: Couch in living room is well-worn. It has kinda sunk-in feeling as if it's collapsed and is not comfortable. I would suggest replacing the couch. Free parking one side of the street and paid for on the other side. Parking can be a problem, but that's just Savannah. Streets have designated cleaning days and you will need to move your car. Frankly, unless leaving Savannah for an excursion you won't need your car anyway. All in all I would stay here again. It was lovely.

I want to give this cottage a better rating, but can’t. Love the location, close for walking downtown & River Street, quiet residential neighborhood. This cottage is overdue for updating. Frig door shelf was broken, toilet seat loose and sliding around, no BR storage for clothes other than closet so you have to dress from suitcase. The BR TV is extremely small and located so it’s impossible to see from bed. Nooutside table/chairs on back porch as seen in website photos. Limbs and vines hanging down and mold and dirty outside walls make use of outside space undesirable. Kitchen accessories definitely need replenishing, not even a plastic mixing bowl suitable for mixing pancakes and only one ice tray in freezer. Sofa is extremely uncomfortable and well beyond its prime and needs replacing. Sat in dining chairs to watch tv because it was so uncomfortable. It would be helpful if the website explained that you must download the Savannah parking app in order to pay fees. There are free spaces, but rarely available. I know this review sounds terrible, but we really enjoyed our trip to Savannah and I’m not looking for any refund or compensation. Just being honest so others can be aware. After going back through previous reviews, I see that some of these issues have been mentioned previously by several guests as far back as 2yrs but obviously not corrected by management. That’s sad, because this place has great potential. Should have been more diligent in my research.
