We enjoyed our weekend away in Townsend at Simple Pleasures. Jo responded quickly and left us some yummy chocolates as a welcome gift. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the back porch and the location was close to everything. We even saw a bear on our drive out one morning. Perfect for our couples weekend getaway.

Great location and very clean. The area was very quiet and beautiful. The host was always quick to answer if we had any questions. My only complaint is the downstairs bed was hard as a rock. It was awful!

When we arrived at the cabin, we noticed a tree had fallen onto the power lines and porch. After notifying Jo, she immediately contacted the power company and owner to have the tree removed and the power lines reattached. Her response was outstanding! She even had another cabin available for us in case the electricity couldn’t be restored quickly.Everything was taken care of by the time we returned from Cades Cove, and the rest of our stay was wonderful. The cabin itself was beautiful and very enjoyable. The only downside was that the master bed was quite hard and uncomfortable for us.One of the highlights of our trip was having a momma bear and her three cubs visit the porch one evening before wandering around back — such a memorable Smoky Mountain experience

The beds were not comfortable at all especially the bed downstairs. The cabin needs better lighting. The small lamps on nightstands were not enough light for reading. Water pressure in showers was great.
