The apartment is located right at Mary Rd, close to Twin Lakes and close to the city. The apartment is on a second floor of the condo building. Its been newly renovated, with nice laminate floors, great grey/black color scheme, new furniture, new kitchen appliances. The kitchen was very well equipped, just like I would do at home. Great dining nook with a huge wooden table, that can easily seat 8 persons.
The ground floor has 2 bathrooms, living room and a master bedroom. Bathrooms are small but very functional. The upstairs loft has 3 bunk beds (for kids) and a queen size bed. The loft comes with it's own, 3rd bathroom.
There were plenty of table games, sitting areas (2 tables, a coffee table, a couch in a living room).
There is one thing that I did not like about this apt - it was super hot.
Unfortunately, this apt has only 2 windows, both are downstairs: a window in a master bedroom and a french door that leads to the balcony. Both windows are on a the same side (i.e. NOT opposite each other). There was absolutely NO draft of air. The loft has it's own window, high by the roof, but it can't be open. This creates a terrible "hot house effect". When I waked in it was closed to 85 degrees F inside, with outside temps max 75F during the day and 60 F at night. It took me good 24 hours to fan out the apt (I had to bring ALL of the fans downstairs and put 2 big window fans into the windows to draw some cool air from the outside, 2 standing tower fans in 2 other corners, and a stationary ceiling fan). I had to have fans on 24/7 to make apartment temperature livable. Please note, almost none of the houses/condos in Mammoth have A/C. But it would not be necessary, as it's general pretty cool here if you can create an airdraft.
I can't even imagine someone sleeping upstairs in the loft. It would be sooo uncomfortable.
But the downstairs bedroom (master bedroom) was perfect temp.
Opening the front door would not help either: the inner corridor also has no windows/doors that can be open.
I also did not like the lack of instructions - like.... where is laundry room located? Where is jacuzzi/hot tub?? - never visited those.
