The location is beautiful and the rooms were recently updated and nicely appointed. The restaurant attached was very good. It was an unexpected bonus to the stay.
As an eco-friendly lodge be aware there is no air conditioning. In August, the fan provided left the room warm upon our arrival. The cool nights and open windows however provided for a very comfortable night's sleep.

We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into the room! It was very clean, comfortable, and modern rustic which went along with the vibe of the area. Think subtle Magnolia (if you know, you know).
When we arrived and got out of the car, we had the honor of hearing wolves howling to each other across the mountains.
When we woke up and stepped outside the beauty was breathtaking! It looks like they are definitely working to make the place even more spectacular as there were workers discreetly beautifying the property by planting flowers and fixing a fence.
We will definitely go back and with more time to spend relaxing at this hidden gem, as there are so many places to do so on the back side of the lodge!!!

The restaurant wasn't open for breakfast, but the Cowboy Cafe in Dubois isn't very far of a drive, especially with that scenery, and works just fine if you are planning to spend time exploring that town.
The only thing I could see that could've made the experience better would be the restaurant operating for all meals and having good coffee ever accessible:)
I can just imagine what food there would be like after seeing how much attention to detail goes into the rest of the place! I'll bet it would be phenomenal!

Mattress was not good! Soft, no support. Small bathroom. No AC. No staff attending front desk, had to go into restaurant to get help! Expensive for what you get.
