Step through the mint-green door of La Veranda and you're in the Palm Springs people travel here for: red tile roof, white stucco walls, towering date palms, and the San Jacinto Mountains rising right behind the pool. Built in 1951 in the historic Movie Colony, this four-bedroom, four-bath home has been fully reimagined for groups who want room to spread out — and a backyard worth staying home for.

THE BACKYARD

This is the heart of the house. A sparkling pool and attached jacuzzi anchor a resort-style yard with soft turf lawns, cushioned chaise loungers, and sunny yellow umbrellas. The deep covered veranda runs the length of the home — ceiling fans throughout, hanging rattan egg chairs, a shaded lounge area, and a long dining table that seats eight out of the sun. Fire up the BBQ, roll out the beverage cart, and stay outside all day.

As the sun drops behind the mountains, move to the fire pit: a curved, pillow-lined banquette wrapping a glowing gas fire, with room for the whole group. It's the best seat in the house.

INSIDE

The house is bright, airy, and immaculate — held to a hotel standard, and guests notice the moment they walk in. Every corner is cared for, and the whole home feels fresh and calm.

The open living room centers on a fireplace and large smart TV, with deep, cloud-soft seating built for sinking into after a day in the sun. The dining room seats eight beneath a chandelier, and a second casual nook off the kitchen seats four with its own intimae vibe — ideal for early coffee before the house wakes up.

The kitchen is fully stocked for real cooking: gas range, generous counter space, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig, and quality cookware within reach. Everything you'll need to entertain in style.

SLEEPING — SLEEPS 8 to 10

Every bed is dressed in crisp, hotel-quality linens, plush duvets, and soft throw blankets, with a choice of pillows so everyone sleeps well. Four bedrooms, each with its own private en-suite bath:

Primary — King bed, pool access through French doors, smart TV, soaking tub and rain shower
Bedroom 2 — King canopy bed, direct pool access, en-suite bath
Bedroom 3 — King bed, direct pool access through French doors, smart TV, en-suite bath
Bedroom 4 — Full-size bunk beds, a twin trundle bed and en-suite bath

Baths are spotless and spa-like, stocked with fresh white plush towels and quality toiletries.

THE LOCATION

The Movie Colony is where Old Hollywood wintered — quiet, leafy, and genuinely walkable. You're minutes from downtown Palm Springs: the restaurants and shops of Palm Canyon Drive, Thursday night VillageFest, the Aerial Tramway, and Ruth Hardy Park just around the corner. Joshua Tree, the Indian Canyons, and the valley's golf are all an easy drive.

A FEW DETAILS...
Please ask about our pool heating options. We're able to heat the pool but we must know in advance of your arrival. Pool/jacuzzi heating is upon request and is $95 per up to 86 degrees and 101 degrees for the jacuzzi per day during the winter months (October 1st thru April 30th) and $75 per day during the rest of the year (May 1st thru September 31st). The jacuzzi can also be heated on its own without the pool to a comfortable 101 degrees for a fee of $45 per day. We have other pool heating arrangements for long term rentals (28 days or more), please inquire.

We don't supply pool floats but might have left over ones that prior guests have donated to the house. We can't guarantee the condition they're in but, you're welcome you to use them! You're also welcome and encouraged to bring your own and YES, we have a electric pump for your use.

We have a Pack n Play and a high chair available for your use at no extra charge, ask us in advance for these items as we want to make sure they're available for you upon arrival. We can also recommend a full service baby furniture rental company that'll deliver to us. And, of course we can also recommend a great and highly reputable Nanny service.

Let us know in advance if you’ll need/want an additional cleaning service during your stay. That fee is $300.00

We accept a Dog (sorry no cats) up to 50 lbs for an additional $75 fee. Let us know what breed you pet is and hopefully it's house trained and non aggressive. This extra fee covers the additional cleaning required between dog visits and our next guests and it's paid entirely to our cleaning crew.

We provide many items at the start of your rental, those are usually good for a 2 to 3 day/night stay. If you'll be staying longer with us, please note that we don't supply those items for the entirety of your trip.

Do's:
Keep Noise Levels Low: Be mindful of your volume indoors, especially during late hours. This includes conversations, music, and television sounds.

We communicate with Neighbors: If you see your neighbors or they reach out, be friendly and respectful.

Be Aware of Outdoor Noise: If you’re enjoying the outdoor space, keep conversations at a reasonable level, particularly after 10 PM.

Use Headphones: If you want to listen to music or watch movies, consider using headphones to keep the noise to a minimum.

Don’ts:
Avoid amplified Music outdoors and absolutely no parties allowed. Our max amount of daytime visitor guests is 4 and, they must be gone by sundown: High volume music, loud gatherings, or parties can disturb neighbors and lead to complaints. Complaints could lead to you being asked to vacate the property without any refunds. Please help us keep the peace

Don’t Ignore Complaints: If any neighbor approaches you regarding noise, please address it immediately to maintain peace.

Don’t Move Furniture Around without our permission: This could cause breakage and/or damage to the floors and walls

What the Zero Noise Ordinance Means:
The zero noise ordinance is a Palm Springs city ordinance that prohibits excessive noise during specific hours (10:00pm to 10:00am) to ensure all residents can enjoy their homes peacefully. Violating this ordinance can lead to fines or consequences that can affect our rental permit, meaning we wouldn’t be able to host future guests. Your cooperation in maintaining a quiet environment helps everyone have a pleasant experience!
