Been driving cross country and the last few weeks and this was our favorite hotel by far. Nothing bad to say. The rooms were clean, modern, soaps were great, kids loved the bunk bed and room dividing curtain. Shower was hot, water pressure great. Kids loved swimming in the pool even though it was 50 degrees outside it was still warm enough, and the hot tub was huge. Service was great, staff was friendly and Nick went out of his way to make my husband and I delicious hot chocolates, served them in front of the outdoors fire and even brought a blanket to make sure we weren’t too chilly. All the pastries and coffee we tried at the cafe were amazing. I’d honestly give the trailhead lodge more stars if I could.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice outdoor spaces to chill. Large rooms and the recent refresh was well done. Good vibe. Paved bike trail bordering the property was handy for going out to the Rimrock trails or down to the Bend river.
Parking lot is a bit rough.

The location and the setting were perfect. I loved the atmosphere as well. All of the different areas of the property that were available for use was really neat too.
The rooms were lacking in a few very minor but basic things. Specifically there were no plugs available by the bed. With the need to charge your phone at night being such a common thing nowadays, have outlets available in a say to use location would be wonderful. Also, there were no lamps by the bed so if you wanted to get up in the night you had to fumble your way to the door or bathroom. The AC was quite dated but was a workhorse that did its best to cool the room. We went to use the hot tub but it wasn’t working. None of these were terrible things, and we still had a great stay. But I think those things would go a long way to improving the stay overall.
