I'm very practical, so being central in a great area, with accommodation for 5 people (mattresses for 3 and a bed for 2), made what would normally be an expensive stay very affordable!
We also had a kitchen and dining area, with everything we needed to make sandwiches, etc., and prepare food.
It was a little like camping, but we only needed a place to sleep and be in the center for sightseeing — a pleasant and authentic Parisian experience.
Strongly recommended!
The place is old and needs renovation, not a modern, fully furnished Airbnb (as the photos and the video the host sent us before our arrival), which is where its authenticity and charm come from :)
Very central, with restaurants and pubs nearby, so it can be noisy at weekends — but that’s part of the charm, as you feel almost part of the dining and festivities upstairs… a real Ernest Hemingway Parisian experience.
Stairs up 5 floors in a 16th-century building, with no elevator. Normal Parisian building..
