About this house rental

Welcome to Savannah Shrimp Camp, a truly one-of-a-kind coastal retreat where nearly a century of Savannah history, thoughtful design, and breathtaking marsh views come together along the banks of Grays Creek.

Originally built in 1925 and abandoned for more than four decades, this historic Savannah property has been thoughtfully restored into an unforgettable waterfront escape. Featured in Savannah Magazine, the property consists of three unique structures: the original Shrimp Camp, a charming private cottage, and a former bait shack, each carefully reimagined while preserving the character and history that make this property so special.

The main cottage is an open, studio-style space, designed to make the incredible setting the centerpiece of your stay. A chef's kitchen with a large island opens seamlessly into the bright and airy living and sleeping space, while soaring ceilings and expansive windows showcase unobstructed views across the salt marsh and Grays Creek. Original pine ceilings, a striking ballast-stone fireplace, curated furnishings, and thoughtful modern finishes give the cottage a character entirely its own.

Just outside, the experience continues across a large private yard overlooking the marsh, complete with a firepit for evenings spent under the coastal Georgia sky. A private drive adds to the secluded feel, creating a peaceful retreat that feels tucked away while remaining convenient to everything Savannah has to offer.

The separate guest cottage provides additional privacy with its own bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and deck, while the restored bait shack offers one of the property's most unique spaces, a cozy retreat with a picture window perfectly framing the marsh beyond.

We love Savannah Shrimp Camp because it offers an experience that simply cannot be replicated. Here, you're surrounded by the natural beauty and history of coastal Georgia while remaining convenient to Historic Downtown Savannah, Thunderbolt, local dining, and Tybee Island. Spend your mornings watching the tide roll through the marsh, your afternoons exploring Savannah, and your evenings gathered around the firepit as the sun settles over the water.

For guests searching for a unique Savannah vacation rental, waterfront Savannah retreat, historic coastal Georgia getaway, or marsh front stay near Downtown Savannah and Tybee Island, Savannah Shrimp Camp is a destination all its own.
