We did not try sandman breakfast because it is not free.

The water for bath is not enough warm for 4 days.

It was no breakfast ,zero cleanig in 5 days even the carbagewas not removed & I was on choc about the price I paid.the agreement with you was 4 nights for can $ 653, they asked for 800 $ so I will never use this facility again.plus I will not make any more reservation through your agency that it.

Charged twice and they tried to couver it up lies

Besides being charged twice and my deposit still not returned as they said when I check out I checked out at 9 am its now 9pm nothing yet scamsers other then worst service everything else was decent but bummed mood with keep there word I say if the staff were more competent and not trying to lie about it would give them 4 stares but they get 1 stare for facitly being more then expected

Staff lied and cheated me still nothing removed at this point I want full refund and deposit returned only way they .can save there selves

Birthday weekend with my sister and 17 year old Nephew

Location Kitchenette Balcony

Was given a different room with less of a view because of a mix up. Requested more towels and didn’t receive Homeless ppl wandering around the lobby with drug paraphernalia Lots of water seeping in parking lot and around pillars in lobby hallway

Could have been better...

The location is quite good, some food stores and restaurants nearby. Our suite was nice and the kitchen and bathroom facilities were good.

The swimming pool was closed and there was a lot of renovation work taking place in the building which meant that sometimes there were noises echoing through the building and some days there was dust and grime on the elevator and lobby floors.

Convenient location.

Way over priced. Has friends here and saw what they got for less money. Very disappointing. The only good thing about it is the location. Needs a total over haul.

Great place for short stays

The location is great, close to the park, easily accessible by sky train to the hotel. Grocery stores and restaurants are all in a 5 minute walk.

It’s currently under construction and the inconsistency between the new rooms and the old ones which are a little outdated. There’s a nightclub beside the hotel, nightly noise is a little loud.

Renovate and then rent!

The location

If you’re going to jackhammer in the room directly above, don’t rent that room. The elevators are incredibly slow to get to a room I couldn’t work in because it was so loud I couldn’t hear with noise cancelling headset. 2 staff members didn’t even apologize when I complained. I will find out what chain you are connected with and NEVER book that chain again

Fantastic location and wonderful views.

The property is in a fantastic location for downtown but also Stanley park. You get some amazing views and it’s been our choice for years.

The property is looking a bit tired and could do with an update. The price you pay is very much based on location. Saying that it’s still reasonable and you get a decent amount of space. Only a minor niggle but other hotels are getting more competitively priced.

Good..NOT outstanding overall considering the price point, but comparable to suites in Vancouver.

The "front end" staff are alway's great at this hotel...The young lady, didn't catch her name, was OUTSTANDING!!.She checked us in early at 3:15 P.M. and beyond that, provided us with FREE parking in the hotel..A VERY unexpected, but pleasant surprise..We also enjoyed MOXIES in the hotel as my elderly Mother was with us this trip and can't walk too far..And as it was a Saturday afternoon and the fireworks finale was that evening, was VERY busy downtown and especially along Davie Street..Perfect Summer 's day at my favorite place to stay in Vancouver..Sandman Davie Street..

THE NOISE as there was some kind of "Block Party' event across from the hotel that day..It went along. LOUDLY until 10 P.M.which was when the CELEBRATION of FIRE fireworks show began..400k-500k people downtown that evening..We had reserved on the ocean side of the hotel, specifically to avoid the weekend "party" noise and to enjoy the fireworks show..NOT the end of the world as this is downtown Vancouver and ought to be somewhat expected..I've been re-assured by the hotel that once the renovations are complete on the higher floors, the noise issues ought to be a thing of the past..They are installing triple -pane windows as part of the renovations later this year..This ought to keep the street noise at bay as it used to be on the city side of the tower here. Still adore this hotel and all it's retro charm..Tally-ho

Pool had good hours, was clean. Room was comfy. Liked two rooms. House cleaning came promptly.

Tried to put me in an entirely different room (smaller) for the same price. Then tried to put me in a room with one bed for 3 people. Finally found a room. Needed to call house cleaning upon arrival to clean floors because it was sticky and covered in something. Key wouldn't work well. Power issue in the door part. Didn't fix it in the 3 days/2 nights there. Blind broke

Ok, close to shops and restaurants but for the same price you can stay down by the harbour.

The little suite was ok

They had us booked in to a one bed smelly old appartment! I complained to the rude Chinese looking girl, who showed me the room. We were expected to sleep one of us on the sofa. The rates were DIFFERENT on one day to the next!!! This was not reflected on Booking .com???!!!!.

The location was great and the staff friendly and responsive. Just wish we could use the pool.

Location was ideal.

We booked the hotel because it had a swimming pool. When we got there, we found out it was under renovations. We were disappointed and felt that should have been communicated when we booked.

Why didn't the hotel management start the renovations/upgrades from the penthouses down the tower?..We stayed on the 23rd floor which is VERY old and tired..I've heard the reno'ed suites 11th floor down to the lobby are STUNNING!..Just curious I recone..Cheers.

we had a great time able to walk everywhere we needed to go

we had a couple small issues when checking in but the staff were very helpful after that. I really appreciate the parking that was secured and not expensive.

location was great with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby and size of room ok but for a suite only just

the property was under renovation so there were plenty of workmen utilizing elevators , pool was under construction which seemed major , not sure how long past but surely many weeks in the future

Having a kitchen and was great. The balcony with the ocean view was spectacular. W could have used some chairs for the balcony and there was only 1 chair in the living room. We had grocery and liquor store close by.

I spend the night in the car as a result of sandman canceling my reservations.

I didn't stay in the hotel, I stayed in the car. They canceled my reservation in the last few minutes. There was nowhere to go afterward. I am going to dispute on this.

great location, very comfortable room.

I had to wait for my booked room as it was not ready, so the desk clerk upgraded me to the penthouse floor which was spacious and very comfortable. I appreciated this as I had just had a very long flight and long day. I had a great "city view".

The curtains in the room did not close completely so the spotlights from the upper part of hotel shone in my room all night. You might want to get that fixed for future guests.

They are in the middle of renovating this old tired run down hotel. They should have shut the hotel down to do the work, they had construction workers using the same lifts as the hotel guests. It wasn’t worth the money we paid. There was no pool it was under construction. They left a flyer taped to the front desk informing us that there would be no water from 10pm until 6 am. We had to argue to get compensation

Solid but could have been better.

First and foremost, good staff members. Second, the room was okay at best. I did enjoy the kitchen and washer dryer combo. I did enjoy the view and the bed. Other than that, the price was really great. The location was amazing! Near restaurants and city centre!

The smell around the hallway was very unpleasant. The sofa was a little stained. Other than that, that was pretty much it.
