The staff were very friendly and helpful. The CTA station is just around the corner, only a 5-minute walk from the hotel. You can easily take the CTA train to both the airport and downtown. We arrived before noon, and the staff kindly let us check in early!

I choose to stay at the Holiday Inn due to closeness to people I was visiting. It also had covered parking which was comforting with severe weather in the area. Staff was helpful and the breakfast was good.

We did not have the breakfast there. Sheets and towels smelled clean. The gal that checked us in was very nice and professional. We had issues with the room and the second gal that helped us, switched us immediately. Great experience with the two gals. However at the end of our stay, we went down to return keys. One guy was on the phone and he could tell we were waiting to hand keys but he did not acknowledge our presence. After some time, I noticed they have a little box to drop the keys which we ended up doing. Hotel staff is the face of the hotel name. A simple help with keys and a “thanks for the stay” would have been appreciated.
Did not meet our expectations. The room was over $200.00 a night. For that price one would expect a better room. Carpets in hallway needed to be vacuumed and some areas were stained. Rooms need major upkeep. We had to switch rooms as the ac on the first one was blowing a damp, muggy bad smell. The front desk gal was nice and switched us immediately. We appreciated that. The second room was ok. A bottle cap was left in the middle of the floor which to me was an indication they cleaned this room in a flash . The toilet made loud noises when flushing and you had to hold on to the handle to fully flush. The ac did some noises off and on, more than a normal ac would but wasn’t that bad. I take that better than the bad smell in first room. They need to upgrade everything inside rooms and hallways, paint, door maintenance, bathrooms. The main lobby of course is well kept and smelled nice.
