The WORST hotel experience ever from the moment I walked up to the reception desk. I travel for business for a living. Spend nearly 30 weeks a year on the road and have done so for 40 years. I have never written a negative review. I understand the hospitality industry. Sometimes, it's hit and miss with what you get. Don't know how this place stays in business. The WORST security in a very unsafe environment. No one cared or wanted to address broken doors that allowed anyone to enter the property at any time (which was happening). Rude, incompetent, personal. Clueless in customer service. I could go on, but there's no point.The place was dirty and smelly. A "vagrant" was inside wandering the hall touching all the doors. I left the property after being locked out of my room and nearly getting into an altercation with the "desk" person to try to get back into my room for my overnight bag. Management was called, and response was pathetic. I have no idea where these people come from, but the hotel business should not be on their resume. I left the moment I was able to get back into the room and got my bag. I drove a short distance to a Sleep Inn, was greeted exactly the way one expects, and had nothing but a courteous and professional treatment. I have used Baymont properties over the years. They honestly can be hit and miss, but this one was the exception. I barely touched on the altercation at the reception desk, and this review can't possibly express either the feelings and treatment. They took a copy of my driver's license, ILEGAL l in S.C. . When questioned, admitted mistake, and tore the paper in half and threw it in the trash. When I questioned that, I got an eye roll and the fun started from there. I will totally bypass Baymont in the future and NEVER recommend them to anyone. I'm making the exact trip again this week. Don't have to think twice about where I'm NOT staying.

There are much better places to stay, don’t stay here.

The on-site manager was very aggressive and refused to let guests sit in the lobby. When questioned as to why, he began yelling at guests saying it was their “policy” The manager and his wife were also yelling at staff in front of guests, very unprofessional.

What stay?! It was awful for the 10 mins we were there.

The pictures on here and the physical place are completely different. It’s $100 deposit once you get there. The a/c doesn’t work. The elevator got stuck twice. And the room is full of roaches. We checked in and immediately checked out.

I won’t be staying here ever again. The guy who I spoke with didn’t want to check the room when I was telling him about

The hallways smelled like mildew and the elevator was even worse! The elevator smelled like someone urinated in there. My room had 3 dead roaches and when I woke up roaches were crawling up the wall and all on my toothbrush and toothpaste this morning.

Staff friendly and bed was comfortable!

The bed cover had holes from cigarette burns, towels were stained and nasty, and bathroom couldn't have been cleaned with other people's hair still left in sink/tub...gross! Room was overly sprayed with something that was so strong trying to cover the stinky carpet smell. Overall was not satisfied! Would NOT recommend!

If I were you I would not stay at this location you will regret it

I did not like anything about this location they had no vending machines no snack machines out of three floors only one ice maker worked and we didn't have a ice bucket in the room to get the ice the elevators were nasty the staff wasn't friendly the motel should be shut down is everything but run by roaches curtains were torn beds weren't made properly looks like mildew was on the box springs when you pull the sheet back it was a horrible horrible horrible experience

Nothing at all . Because from their advertisement is false so don't let yourself be fooled by the things they're offering in their advertisement it's l a reincarnation of the Bates motel

The worst place that I never stayed!!

Guy at the front seemed like a nice guy

I booked 2 rooms. My wife and kids were with me. We were checking in at around midnight after a family event. There were multiple roaches in multiple rooms. In the THIRD room we viewed, roaches were in the refrigerator. I took pictures of the roaches in the bathroom and told the guy at the front desk that I could not possibly have my family stay here. He assured me that the person I needed to talk to was going to be working the next morning (which would’ve been Sunday) He also stated that other guests had the same complaint and were refunded. He apologized and basically said it was because of some construction they were doing on the building or something. He outlined the next steps that I needed to complete to secure the refund and I went outside and called booking before I left to see if there was anything I should do before I left the property to secure a refund. The next day I called back to the hotel and the person who answered the phone told me that I needed to speak with someone else. The person I needed to speak to apparently only works Monday-Friday. I called, messaged, sent pictures and video but apparently that wasn’t enough for anybody to take this seriously and refund my money for the 2 rooms that were too disgusting for us to even stay in. To this day, the only thing that’s been refunded to me was the security deposit.

Knowing what I know now, if I could go back and cancel this reservation I would

only thing I liked were that the staff was accommodating to the conditions of the hotel

The first room I got placed in smelled horrible, walls were dingy, counters were filthy, you could see where someone killed insects but didn’t clean it up, amongst other things. Just very bad. Did not have extra towels and wash cloths on hand either

The bed was very uncomfortable. The toilet I had to clean myself before sitting on it. The room smelled like smoke and we aren't smokers. They make you pay $100 deposit for not smoking but there is nothing on their web site stating that.

they kept my deposit for “smoking” and I don’t smoke. somebody clearly doesn’t know what weed smells like.
