The pool (9 ft deep) was delightful ... a bit short for real lap swimming, but a wonderful cool off spot and in a great setting, so nice to just hang out at. The custom breakfast was expansive and so well prepared !! Service is great. The happy hour, with live piano music, surprisingly offered 6 quality wines (3 white, 3 red) and an opportunity to meet other guests + learn of the many cultural opportunities in this Berkshire art scene.
The property is old + charming, so the bedrooms are a bit small (ours had a big closet that held a dresser as well as hanging racks). The bed had a separate foam cushion over the mattress which slid around a bit and was not super comfortable -- but a minor issue. Very little NOT to like here.

We had the most wonderful time at this beautiful inn set in stunning surroundings and gardens. On our holiday this was the only place where we actually met and interacted with the owners , Doug and Jim. Our room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Lovely leather chairs and decor. The bed was comfortable with nice linens.
We were invited to the cheese and wine evening and it was great. Lovely wines and cheeses and a great way to meet other guests. We so enjoyed the piano and a few songs from Doug.
Breakfast was a feast .. fruit, yogurts , eggs . Delicious and a different menu each morning. Home baked cakes .. yummy.
Saturday we sat in the gardens and enjoyed a lovely afternoon of music , it was so nice to see locals join the afternoon too.
We wish we could have stayed longer..
