The staff was very friendly. Good breakfast. Fabulous towels. Comfy bed. Large room. Location superb:Quiet, shaded side road and parling with easy walk to tiwn.
We stayed in the Africa room and while it was large, the stairs to access the room were crazy steep and narrow. Bathroom needs to be updated. A little musty.

The beauty of the preserved house was magical. I also sat outside for a bit in the morning. the garden was lovely. I liked meeting some of the guests at breakfast. I also appreciated being assisted when I arrived unexpectedly late in the evening.

Breakfast was fine - pancakes and scrambled eggs stood out. Coffee was good when working correctly. Large room, great location, friendly staff. Quiet room and home.
Bed was the hardest mattress we have ever slept on (we are in our late 50s). Breakfast was overall basic and mediocre. Inn is tired - warm, but tired.
