very good--will stay again.

Location is great. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. Rooms very clean.

the only problem we had was with the refrigerator--very hard to regulate it. Got much too cold and froze some of our food. also dripped water. But we told the reception desk and they said they would make sure it is fixed. We stayed for a few days and did not mention it till we left, so we were able to deal with it.

Good as always

we love this property and the sister across the street. try to stay there anytime we are in the area. great staff, clean rooms, and epic hot tub Time Machine pool and hot tub area that is open late.

It's fine. Rodeway is better!

We've stayed at Rodeway other times, which is actually the same property. The beds in Rodeway were fine, but the beds across the road at Carriage house were very hard. I didn't sleep at all one night and very little the second night. Staff are great. We liked the breakfast. The price was right. I suppose some folks would leave a worse review for hard beds, but I appreciate an affordable hotel in an expensive area.

Comfortable but rather expensive for the amenities.

Quiet and comfortable.

Wouldn't let us check in until the exact time. Then there were 10 people waiting and the new person to come on duty was not helped at all dealing with the people. The other staff member first just sat around and then left. The breakfast was across the street and so minimal that we skipped it for the 2 days. The only microwave we could use was across an icy, busy street. They could have had a single microwave in the lobby.

Neat clean and affordable

Staff very friendly. Room neat and clean.

I liked they offer breakfast but a few more things could be added. Maybe some jelly for the English muffins and pancakes, or yogurt for those of us who do not eat all of those carbs in the morning. I appreciated breakfast but couldn't eat any of it.

We would stay again. actually felt like we were in a 70’s bedroom rather than a motor inn, something comforting about it

Quiet, very clean, comfortable vintage feel regarding the furnishings.

Room 2: Old carpets, very firm mattress, weak stream from the shower head, though doable. Decent fridge, but no microwave oven.

Very nice stay!

We have family in Saranac Lake and the location of the Carriage House in Lake Placid was perfect for us! Even though it is an older property, the room was very clean and had everything we needed. The price was also great for the area.

The only thing I really didn't like was the firmness of the bed, but most places do have very firm beds. There could have been a little bit more variety for the continental breakfast. The cinnamon rolls were good, but nothing beats fresh bakery:) It was a little inconvenient to go across the road for breakfast, but not a deal breaker :)

the room and the washroom are clean that is very important to me. Its quiet

not convenient to cross the street (to another hotel) especially if you have kids to get breakfast and to warm up our food. One of the night staff (lady) was not politely telling us that the pool are closed @ 10pm, when we asked her if we can at least stay a little bit longer to the pool because we only used the pool for 15 mins and she quickly said "NO!" and she immediately turned her back to us. The hair dryer is not working.

Old facility but clean and comfortable.

Traveled to Lake Placid for Empire State Winter Games with my family. Pretty much everything in town was booked or crazy expensive. Carriage House was reasonably priced - we were really just there to sleep as we had a busy schedule. The place is older but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was free - a fresh apple, oatmeal and a hot chocolate or coffee - not great but again, it was free & something quick to put in our bellies. We didn't get to check out the pool but it was way too cold to go outside wet anyway (pool was in a building across the street). Staff was friendly. Great location - minutes from the Olympic ice rinks.

Snow removal definitely could be better (but it was February in Lake Placid). Someone parked directly outside our room at 2 am with their music blasting sounded like a concert in our beds (maybe because there was nowhere to park because of snow). Beds could use some new sheets and blankets - looked like they were 30 years old but they were clean.

Good accommodations for the money.

We had to walk across the street to the sister facility for breakfast and there weren't covers for coffee cups and no microwave in the room. Food provided was terrible. Should concentrate on better coffee bar.

The bottom shelves of the refrigerator in our room acted as a freezer. It froze the fruit and veggies I brought from home and I had to throw them out.
