The only out-point was that there was no heat. I was shivering in bed. The rest of the experience was great, I'd do it again, and would recommend this to others.

best price to stay in center

Best bargain to stay in Center. old hotel but centrally located, next to Castro, walking distance to Center (Opera, Symphonic hall), bus to the bay. supermarket in front of hotel.

Cheap - and you get what you pay for

Very cheap and in a decent location, close to the Mission and Haight.

Slow wifi. Paper-thin walls. Musty smell of mold or pee. Bed was quite uncomfortable. No sinks in bathroom, have to walk back to room. The hallway window looked directly into my room window (the 2 windows were at right angles).

Felt gross with the bites all over both of us. Received no help and was not compensated.

woke up mid day with bites. Bites were in a line and looked like bed bugs. second day they were worse and more of them. No compensation.

The location of the hotel is great. Everything is around you. MUNI and BART are down the street!

I was looking for a place that had some San Francisco flavor and it met my expectations.

Location. Quiet enough for sleeping.

An electrical outlet near the sink would be nice. An ironing board would be nice. There was a somewhat strange odor in the hotel. Possibly the carpeting is old?

Passable

I didn't like that the description doesn't inform you that you are sharing a toilet/shower with everyone else on the same floor as you. Luckily we were put on a floor that seemed somewhat secluded because we never had to fight anyone for the bathroom. The downside to the stay is there is no elevator, so climbing 3 flights of stairs with or without a bag, made you a tad bit winded by the time you got to your room.

Stay at becks motor lounge up the street.

The hotel has an excellent location. The rooms were clean.

The shower didn't work in the bathroom... The TV only turned on to "bravia" screen and couldn't watch anything. The card reader didn't read 2 of my cards making check-in difficult. The room was hot/ no AC... No screens on the windows.

Overall I was content and happy with my stay. The location and the price was perfect and in budget.

I did notice the room was pretty clean, and the bathrooms were also maintained clean, which I appreciated. There was no noise disruption.. which was also a bonus. I had good stay.

The one thing I did not like was the wifi strength.. very weak. The door knobs could use some replacement also. Bed sheets weren't really in the best condition but they were clean.
