The location was perfect--beautifully situated on Lake Superior and close to the two sites we wanted to visit. The view from our room was superb. The restaurant food was delicious and we had a terrific server.
The functioning of the heating/cooling was not understandable at all until we asked at the desk. We could not dial the desk because the phone in the room was not plugged in--the wall outlet was behind the extremely heavy dresser, so my husband had to go to the lobby. Also, I must have missed the information on your website describing that the log cabin suite room would be on the second floor with no elevator. Because of the price of the place, it would have been nice to have personal service, i. e., someone to at least offer to (1) come and help with the heating issue and (2) help with our luggage. This place is too nice to be staffed and serviced like a Days Inn.

The room was large with nice accommodations. The bathroom had a nice walk in shower. Great view of Lake Superior
One small complaint and that was our room overlooked the fire pits and the smoke came through the AC unit.

The location was wonderful with beautiful lake views. The grounds were immaculate. The rooms were clean, modern and nicely decorated. Staff were friendly. The restaurant food was very good. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
The trim/doors in our bathroom were a little beat up/worn, but not a big deal. It would have been nice to have access to coffee before 8 a.m.

Kitchen well equipped
My unit was drab. Beige and brown. The gas fire is very old and hardly a flame.
Bed just so so.

"The Grand Superior Lodge was just as I remembered. The view of the lake from our room was fabulous. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Bonus, they now have breakfast Mon - Fri mornings.
