Excellent value for money. The hotel includes breakfast and is located very close to Union Square, making it easy to travel around San Francisco.
The hotel has a charming antique feel, which is especially nice if you enjoy history and older architecture. One of my favorite features was the vintage elevator — it is still operating and looks amazing, adding a lot of character to the whole experience.
Overall, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a convenient location, good value, and a hotel with a unique historic atmosphere.
One area that could be improved is the soundproofing. Since the hotel is very close to the street, you can hear some traffic and street noise, especially at night. You may also hear people walking along the hallway and opening or closing doors. Some rooms do not have private bathrooms, so guests using the shared bathrooms can create additional hallway noise.

The air is not fresh in the entrance hall. I love the cat Skittles but I think it makes the room smelly

The breakfast was good. Terrible coffee.
The window in my room didn’t lock, and there was access to the room via a fire escape. There was only 1 shared bathroom on each floor for 10 rooms.
