Una agradable sopresa!

Super bien ubicado, en un barrio muy trendy y cerca de las atracciones. El personal super amable, el desayuno incluido ( y no lo sabíamos cuando reservamos! ), el vino y el queso, las habitaciones muy bien cuidadas, un parking cerca muy conveniente por 38 USD, todo INCREÍBLE! Una buena sorpresa :)

Great place for a quick overnight in Philly.

The location was excellent and the room was much nicer than I expected for an older hotel. The price was amazing.

It was an older hotel with older fixtures and elevator. But neither of those issues was too bad.

Stayed several times there, just disappointed the breakfast and snacks not as good as was.

The elegance the style the atmosphere, the fire.

Breakfast disppointing not as good as it used to be. Very basic, old bagels.

Dieses Hotel besser nicht buchen!

Das Hotel ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Renovierung dringend erforderlich.

Die Zimmer haben null Komfort. Klein und ungemütlich. Die Heizung kann nicht ausgeschaltet werden. Die Klimaanlage ist deutlich veraltet. Das Bad ist in allen Belangen unzureichend.

Localisation, calme, charme vintage,wifi sans problème.

Un seul petit problème : l’hôtel est tellement historique que les fenêtres ont du mal à fermer et ouvrir: système de fermeture jamais rencontré dans ma vie Heureux néanmoins que ma fenêtre au 7 e étage reste entrouverte pour avoir de l’air la nuit. Sans souffrir de bruit car rue calme. Par contre lorsque le froid a commencé, même le personnel n’a pu la fermer et m’a proposé de changer de chambre. Comme c’était ma dernière nuit, j’ai préféré prendre une couverture supplémentaire

Hotel Barulhento, quartos antigos e sem estrutura, não vale o valor que cobram pelas diárias.

Barulho, quartos antigos, torneira pia não funcionou, etc, etc.

Exceptional

A wonderful hotel full of old world charm ! The staff is excellent ! I prefer The Alexander Inn over the Ritz which is only 3 blocks away because of the staff and special touches like the cheese and wine social hour.

This is our favorite hotel in the city and we will continue to stay here every time we visit.

Great and convenient location. Many restaurants and attractions within walking distance. Other attractions are just a short drive/Uber ride away.

The air conditioner in the room worked well but was quite loud.

This stay for our adult child and their partner who were visiting from out of town; we were underwhelmed.

Great location for Center City Philadelphia. Property staff were pleasant.

The room decor and furnishings are “vintage”. Bathroom was tight for two, shower head had electrical/plumbing tape holding it together. Hotel is very basic with no amenities, e.g., no bottled water or coffee for guests.

Walkable to everything

It was walkable to everything, restaurants were great near by

The outside noise was very loud. Nothing the hotel can do but I would bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Very good

The hotel is a little "tired" internally, but having said that everything worked well with comfy beds and a hot shower. The location is good, with most tourist parts of the city walkable. Nice croissant at breakfast (from a nearby French bakery, I believe) and the wine bar opposite is very nice indeed.

Yes, we could have wished for fresh paintwork, smart carpets, polished surfaces, but actually the hotel was good - once they do refresh, prices will no doubt go up.

Good location

The location is excellent, within walking distance of all major sights in Philadelphia. The neighbourhood is nice and there are some good places to eat.

The hotel is in a historic building that could do with some updating. The breakfast is pretty meagre.

I have fallen in love over night with this beautiful hotel. The building itself seems to have a soul and personality of its own. Tony was so welcoming, accommodating, knowledgeable of the area and hotel history. He made us feel as if we were truly his guests. Thank you Tony and Alexander Inn.

We were passing through on a road trip and weren't able to stay longer. Now two states away and still thinking about how much we enjoyed Philly and Alexander Inn.

The perfect location in Washington Square West to visit friends in the gayborhood.

The location was excellent. Very easy hotel to stay in. Staff was very friendly.

The hotel needs to be updated. Very old furniture. Needs more bright art on some walls. Lighting was average.

Room was very warm. Can’t regulate the heat in the room in the winter except to turn on the A/C. It did the trick so it ended up being okay.
