Nestled in Shaver Lake, this attractive house for $253 per night is a great option for your next vacation. This quaint dog-friendly cabin comes with a furnished deck with views of Sierra Cedars Pond, three cozy bedrooms, a gas fireplace, and room for up to six guests. Please note that if the family dogs will be joining you, there is an additional nightly fee. This home is tucked away among the trees just three miles south of Shaver Lake, a friendly community offering shops and a variety of cafes, restaurants, and bars including Shaver Lake Pizza, the Trading Post for fine dining, and the Shorthorn Bar & Grill. For summertime fun, the lake is only six miles away for watersports, fishing, and hiking. And when the snow is falling, pack up your skis and snowboards and hit the slopes at China Peak, just 22 miles northeast. Perfect for a family or a few couples, this Shaver Lake vacation rental comes with free WiFi, three TVs, a warming gas fireplace, and a furnished deck complete with a gas grill where you can enjoy your meals with a view. The kids and dogs will have a great time in the grassy backyard or looking for frogs in the adjacent pond. Get ready for a relaxing stay in the mountains at this Shaver Lake family-friendly cabin. All same day bookings must be made through the local office between the hours of 8:30am-5: 00 pm PST. For same day bookings, please contact Vacasa. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Security camera details: This home has one active security camera at the front door pointing toward the entrance. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. This place is perfect for small families it is located in a cute quiet neighborhood 10 mins from town. It was clean and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. A few items need attention. The master shower door doesn’t shut so water leaks.. we had to use several towels to soak up water each time we showered. Also the fridge makes a loud noice when trying to make ice which doesn’t work. The fireplace was very warm and cozy.

The waterfront is a pond and the quote close to the lake is not true

The navigation says you are at your destination but you really aren’t

Great location next to a pond with a nice sized deck. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook; even got to BBQ. The whole place was well stocked and the washer and dryer were a treat. My daughters and wife fully enjoyed themselves , and I had a blast.

We have stayed at this cabin for years and have unfortunately seen it decline. On this recent trip, we experienced mice running across the living room. We checked out immediately. After this experience and the poor cleaning- we will not be back.

Rental is OLD, there are safety issues, patio, walkway, front door, shower door. Children and pets could easily get hurt. Inside is from 1960 and 70s construction and decoration. The furniture a d furnishings are from yard or thrift stores. Carpet is old and filthy. We left a day early, couldn't relax there or sleep.

First family vacation for us in a while.
Only an hour drive from clovis for us. As we saw the cabin and the pond we knew it would be a wonderful vacation. My wife sat outside almost the entire evening just watching and listening to the quiet and the ducks. There was lots of space for our dog to run and play. There were trails that led to amazing views in every direction. The cabin was cozy and comfortable to all our needs. We visited a nearby lake that wasn't to crowded and easy to to get to. Everyone we spoke to was helpful and kind to us. We enjoyed ourselves so much we added an extra day
We would of added more but the cabin was booked for the weekend. We grilled we laughed we reconnected. My wife never stopped smiling the entire time there. That made me smile.

We had a good experience at the cabin. We were in Shaver Lake for our son's wedding. The cabin was clean and in a quiet location. It was nice to seat on the deck and watch the baby ducks in the pond. Beautiful view seating on the deck. We were disappointed that we couldn't have other family members visit. I understand the limit was 6 but we didn't see why it would be a problem just to have visitors.
Things to fix, clean bbq, blinds on deck side were hard to open and dishwasher needs to be secured. When I had the bottom rack out with several plates, the dishwasher was falling out.

We cooked all meals at the house for our 2-night stay here. The neighborhood is very quiet and nice. Our only complaint would be the refrigerator never got cold enough to put food in it. We followed all instructions on the printout taped to the fridge and it never got cold. We made due with our ice chest from home, but any longer than 2 nights would need a working refrigerator. I recommend having it checked. Will stay here again, but only if the issue is resolved. Would have given 5-stars otherwise.

Property management didn’t provide dishwashing towels or sponge, please bring your own. Also didn’t provide extra trash bags for waste removal. There are a few pet stains on the carpet. Other than that, fairly clean. They asked that we run a load of dishes, but they didn’t provide enough dishwasher detergent for us to do so. We stayed 3 nights and only received 2 detergent packets for the dishwasher. Overall still a great place to stay.

Owners should probably plan to have carpeting replaced often if pets are allowed. They are badly stained to the point we put down blankets while sitting on the floor.
Did not appreciate the new camera pointing at the deck/ front door. Felt like we were under surveillance the entire time. Too bad. We have loved this cabin and it’s location.
