You have a very good hotel to which you should have dropped the price since renovating at least to m

Great room, great location and great staff.

Lovely, friendly staff - always smiling. Very helpful and nothing was too much bother despite them working in the chaos of refurbishment.

Quiet, clean, comfortable & spacious accommodations a close walk to Amsterdam Central Station.

This was my second stay at the Room Mate and there is no other hotel I would say in Amsterdam. The room is spacious, super clean with a very comfortable bed and an amazing view of either the city or the waterfront. The hotel staff are super friendly, and breakfast was great!

The hotel was undergoing some upgrades to their lobby area while I visited so there was not a lot of space during high traffic moments (mornings as an example). This is temporary so other than that - nothing else!

Disappointing, I felt misled by the pictures and description. I wouldn't recommend!

The reception and restaurant/bar staff were pleasant and helpful. They tried to help solve the plethora of issues we had during our stay to the best of their abilities.

The lighting in the room was terrible. It was very dark and made it difficult to get ready (apply makeup). The room was a strange layout. There was no rug for the single bed, meaning stepping onto cold vinyl floor. The hairdryer had no nozzle. There were building works happening, which had been ongoing for a month but we were only given 1 week's notice which didn't give us enough time to book an alternative. This brought our overall experience down. Housekeeping were very rude when we asked for certain issues to be resolved. On the night we arrived, the single bed had dirty marks on the sheets and on the next day they replaced some towels, not all and the new towels were dirty. The room was booked for 3 adults, but they kept setting it for 2, with just 2 sets of towels and 2 sets of mugs/glasses, not enough tea/coffee for 3 etc. They even took away the extras that they brought 2 nights in a row. After the first night they did the same again, even though we reported this and asked for extra amenities. The single bed was also not made properly on 2 of the 3 days, even after raising the issue on the first night. As compensation we were offered free breakfast for 2 out of the 3 days. Breakfast was also disappointing, not worth the €24.95 per person the hotel charges. Had I paid for this, I would have insisted on a refund.

SO disappointing!

Clean rooms, amazing breakfast.

Such basic rooms for the money - similar standard to an Ibis hotel. Refurbishments taking place (not told this before booking hotel) causing a lot of disruption / blocking stairwells with building materials. Lifts broke down on a couple of occasions - raised concerns with fire safety with manager. Overcharged for Prosecco (€160!) that was bought for us as a gift by a family member, was refunded when we brought it to their attention. Whopping city tax 12.5%! Be aware, we did not know this before going and it is the same with every hotel in Amsterdam. After raising my issues to the manager, it was dealt with in the end. I really would avoid this hotel at the moment - hopefully it is all better once the refurbishments arw complete.

第一次寫評分，訂的大床房被告知只有雙床房了，要求更換大堂經理說他們沒房間，全滿了。我們一直在大堂等他處理超過2小時，期間一直有很多人check in, 但卻一直說沒房了。問了很久他換了一間大床房，上去發現是人土傷殘人士專用，下來找經理理論，他說那沒什麼的十中這也算大床房。我們想退錢不住了他不讓退，意思是傷殘房也是大床房，他們已經提供了服務，最終什麼補償也沒有錢也退不了。另外房間很臭。

Excellent

Fantastic hotel in a great location a short walk from the centre and central station. The I-Dock restaurant on site is really good as well. They also offer you a free drink per person per stay from the minibar if you don’t get the room made up

The only issue we had was that some work was taking place on the floor above. There was no noise at night and it wasn’t really intrusive but they did work late (until about 7:30pm one night) which made it difficult to put our daughter to bed. We called reception and it was sorted immediately and they apologised

Muy lindo hotel, cómodo y hermosa vista

Hermoso hotel, habitación muy amplia y con una vista preciosa. La cama grande y cómoda. Había sillones, una mesita pequeña y otra mesa de escritorio. El baño grande con toliletries (sin bañera pero amplio).

Superb

Great location, good overall services, very good varied breakfast, hotel restaurant with good food. Nice size of the room and bath, we had the room on upper floors with wonderful view of the city .

For our taste, the bed was too soft.

Great view, good breakfast, price not worth it though.

Location and view; breakfast

Price-value proposition was bad. I booked with booking.com (Genius level 2) and eventually paid 30% more than the rack rate. One should simply not believe that booking.com ensures competitive prices. I complained at the hotel because I was supposed to pay 346 Euros per night for 31 sqm; room was more like 23 sqm excluding a 8 m long useless corridor; at the same time even suites with 50 sqm were cheaper there. I was first treated badly at the reception; „my problem that I booked with booking.com - any other problem?“ Sheer provocation. On the next day I was given a bigger room which was ok. I however still paid 30% more than anyone else. Lesson learned: forget about the „genius-offers“ of booking.com. Rather check the hotel directly. Still feel ripped-off.

the hotel did not meet my expectation

I booked a room for 2 adults and a child from booking.com. However, when I checked in the room only had one queen bed. I asked for another bed for the child but the receptionist asked me to pay 35 euro extra per night.

Nice, with some complications….

Room had a great view and bed was comfortable. Location was nice. Nespresso machine a plus.

Room was not as clean as it could be. Found old trash behind one of the drapes and another day dirty glasses were set out for clean ones. Staff called the night before check out demanding that we go down to the desk so that they could run a card they had pre-authorized on the first night. Then, trouble with check out as they wanted to run the payment again; not so great.

The the AC did not worked.

The location.

The air conditioning did not worked. The staff just said sorry. I think that’s not enough, since the hotel did not complied with the contract and made the stayed uncomfortable.
