Perfect location and super friendly staff). A nice bonus is a bottle of hotel scent, which they present to you during checkout as a reminder of happy memories of Amsterdam and the hotel. Our main requirements were: working AC, a spacious room, and cleanliness. It was 10 out of 10. Special thanks to the girls at the front desk; they were so welcoming and helpful!
The shower water temperature could be hotter for me. For my partner, it was perfect. Breakfast is pricey and not worth that much money. But you can book it without it and add it upon request.

Great location Staff were lovely although I accidentally only had 1 adult on my booking instead of hubby making two adults I also asked for two single beds as one of us a bad sleeper
I got charged extra for both which was very disappointing
We stayed earlier in the week two nights under booking .com booking which was perfect
The 3rd night two days later after all the add ons worked out to be more expensive for the same thing booking direct with hotel
It spoilt our thoughts from earlier in the week
It was management making that decision to charge extra not front desk reception I will note

The room was reasonably clean and comfortable, equipped with functional air conditioning and tea/coffee facilities.
While the physical room was perfectly fine for a short stay, I had a major issue with customer service. The day after checking in, I noticed an unauthorized charge of €238 on my card. When I raised this with reception, they admitted it was their mistake but were very casual about it, simply saying, "sorry it was our mistake," and stating the refund would take 3-5 days.There was no explanation for the error, no apology, and no offer of compensation (e.g., free breakfast) for the inconvenience. As I was only in Amsterdam for a few days, this tied up my spending money. I would advise other travellers to check their bank statements closely during their stay.
